Not enough sleep last night after watching the Big 10 Championship game. I hope the Spartans send a thank you note to the UoM punter......Good luck to them in the CFB playoffs.
I did a little better this week with food, but there is still some room for improvement. My typical routine is to do very well during the day, and struggle at night. Lately I've been working in Myfitnesspal to plan healthy snacks into my evenings. Workouts have gotten strong again and I can feel them. I make a point to log my workout routine in a spiral bound book, and I took a moment to look back at where I started with this specific routine 3 months ago. I really am getting stronger, even if I didn't think I was. For me it showed how important it is to document everything.
Vitamins for the most part are routine.
Have a great week!!
Highest=427
Day of surgery=362
Last week=233
Today=235
Thus is kinda where I think I feel good. I've been doing pushup and getting all vitamins still need to work the hydration as I am constipated . So water water water today. So today is my birthday and I remember last year I was about 400 lbs or more. I'm going to look and find a picture from last year and try to put it up in my profile sometime today.

@IWant2behealthy Congrats o n the weight loss since your surgery! that is an amazing amount of weight to lose. When I see that others can lose that much weight it inspires me to keep working at it!! I am glad you brought up the constipation problem. For these first 2 months I can only have protein and it does cause constipation. It is a problem and anyone reading this forum thinking about having weight loss surgery should keep in mind one after surgery problem is constipation. In 2 weeks I can start eating vegetables again and I hope that helps. I am tired of just protein and the constipation.

@QAJohn congrats on losing 2.6 lbs this week. That is great!. I have always struggled with night time eating. I am always before and after surgery the hungriest and eat the most between 6:00pm and when I go to sleep. Lately I have an eating schedule of breakfast at noon, lunch at 6:00pm and dinner at 9:00pm . I need to work on that because that is not good!. It seems like with all of these great doctors there would be more research and solutions on why some people eat more food at night? Anyway congrats on losing the weight this week.

I had to look back at last weeks post but I think I was at 281. Anyway today i am at 277.2 So I have lost 4.6lbs this week. I am surprised by that because it has been a very tough week. Almost every night after work I had other responsibilities that kept me from getting home before 9:00 pm. I don't know about anyone else I am 50 and after i work all day I have very little energy to do much else. Also Thursday morning I could not get up at 5 and was unable to get on the bike for 30 minutes. I am about 7 weeks post surgery RNY. I am finding myself wanting to snack between meals and I am hungry especially at night. It seems like my unexplainable hunger has returned. Also I continue to eat 3 meals a day at 3oz. But when I am finished eating I am never full. After much research before surgery I really thought that for the first several months I would not be hungry? I am recording my food on My Fitness Pal now every day and I had a Fitbit in July that stoppped working in October. The company replaced it with no questions asked (easiest return ever kudos to Fitbit) So now I have a new Fitbit and I am working every day to get 10,000 steps. Maybe this sounds petty, but I have lost a total of approximately 57 lbs, and I see people that I have not seen several months and they do not notice that I have lost weight? It just seems like with losing 57 lbs, more people would notice. ? . Well I was able to get on the bike and walk yesterday and today. It seems like I lose the most weight when I consistently exercise. I hope you guys have a good week! - Thanks for everyone that posts here !

Congratulations on what you've accomplished so far. I would look at your situation a couple of ways:
1) Its a marathon, not a sprint. Losing at the pace you have will drain energy from you so don't worry about that.
2) The benefit of surgery and weight loss is our health. Of coarse we all like the surprised looks that other give us when they don't see us for a while, but I believe that long term success come from us putting ourselves first. I also don't believe that to be selfi****ake care of myself first, so I can be a better husband, father, grandfather teammate etc.
3) Good job on the bike.
@QAJohn I completely agree with you! Thanks for pointing this out. It is about my health and not what other people think. I needed to hear that it is more important that I take car of my health instead of worrying about if anyone else notices my weight loss -Thank you!
