When did everyone stop checking the scale every week? I am four months out and and my weekly update is done at least for my doctors request.

I check every Sunday, then post here to keep me honest.  The support helps me . I have done this since surgery, as my doctor didn't want me to weigh more than once a week.

Ht:6'5 Start weight 427, surgery weight=362 current weight 238 goal weight unsure?

My doctor only checks me at my appointments. Which the next one will be my 6 month.  I am a bit OCD about weighing, so I check every morning after my shower.  Thankfully, I don't worry too much about ups and downs and expect it as I have dieted many, many times as most of us have and know that the weight can fluctuate up and down on any given day.  I post my Sunday weight here and that does give me something to look back on over a period of time to see how I am doing.

I do find that "on occasion" my weight was less a couple of days before the Sunday check-in but I still post the higher weight, despite really, really wanting to post my lowest weight of the week!

Wednesday or Thursday has been shown to be your lowest weight all week.  Think it has to do with the tendency to eat more on the weekends and being busy during the week thus burning more calories or some logic like that.

One year out ans still weigh myself every Sunday in the morning after BM.  I write the weight, Fat%, Muscle%, and Water% in a paper chart every time.  Once every couple of months I transfer the data into an excel spreadsheet and have a nice line chart on how the progress has gone since surgery.
