I was able to get a much better hold on calories las week, and stepped up my water a bunch. I still struggle with snacks at night, but I think I did a better job planning for that by reducing calories and snacks during the day, and planning for the night. I have my meals planned out today and should be pretty good.
These past two weeks, I've changed up my workout routine as well to more lifting and less cardio (although I do both). I was pretty sore for a while, and I need to make sure I get good rest, but in all I'm satisfied so far.
I start the travel routine again this week, so back to figuring out hotel gyms and dinners out.
No Michigan game this week. THey needed the break after last weeks heartbeak. The Lions finally got a win, but I'm fearing another high draft pick next year. We'll see what they can do against the Vikings today.
Have a great week!!

Much better week than last! Although weight loss is very slow. Followed nutrition pretty well all week. Water, protein and carbs all within range. A little more wine than probably needed but with relatives visiting and a monthly card club I can't complain too much about that.
Oh, and the Nebraska Cornhuskers keep losing. How much fun can that be for someone from Western Iowa..... :-).

I'm down another 2.1 and under 220! In my mind 220 was the magic number. I remember having that on my driver's license years (many years) ago and it just seemed so "thin" and impossible. It wasn't a real goal, until now. Wow, I really can't believe I'm down 230 pounds in 13 months.
In addition to working out and exercising, I've made my walking/step goal 20,000 and have hit that everyday for the past 3 weeks. I don't have much time for anything else, but getting outside longer before winter is a priority for my mental well being and physical of course.
Have a great week everyone!

I have upped my calories to 15000 and I still lost 2 lbs this week. I don't think I can keep eating this much. It's hard. I have been thinking my body will eventually settle somewhere. ..guess it might be less than 240? I do feel good, I keep doing my push ups and riding my bike. I have been averaging about 1500 steps a day also. This should dropped some as I just got a promotion at work and I will be in meetings a lot more during the days. Glad to here everyone is doing well. Go eagles!!
I maintain my weight when my calories are between 1900 and 2200 a day at my currnet activity level. I just dropped to 1500 last week to lose some of the excess weight I gained the weeks before. I understand the rule of thumb for TDEE (Total Daily Energy Expendature) is around 100 calories/pound. That puts you at about 2200 calories to maintain depending on your activity level.
We get hung up on the low calorie diets without realizing we are the same people just with smaller stomachs. Just beware that counting calories is not an exact science, and I know that if I chart 1900 calories, I am probably closer to 2200 - 2300 a day.
Thanks john,
I don't know 8th I can eat that much yet. My stomach stops me at 4 Oz of steak. I can't eat white meat chicken without smothering it in some gravy. I have been upping my calories over the last 2 months just to get to 1500.
