337.6: High weight Dec '13

311.3: Surgery day 1/16/14

191.8: 1st Surgiversary

193.2: Last Weigh in

190.2: CW

180.0: Goal

Not a bad week I'd say, although I ended it with a little stomach distress. I was able to get to the gym regularly, ate pretty well and got my vitamins in no problem. About midweek, I pulled the plug on carbs pretty hard.

I have a rough three weeks in front of me though. I'll be on vacation in Calgary Alberta this week, followed by a three day customer event, and then another vacation in Michigan. In Calgary, we'll be visiting family so it will be 5 days of heavy Dutch food. In Michigan, we will welcome the next addition to our family whose scheduled to be born this week (hopefully). From a food standpoint, challenge accepted!!

With all of this travel, I will not be able to start this thread off until September 20. Can someone please kick us off for the next three weeks?? I'll check in from time to time, but three weeks without using the scale is going to be a little strange.

Only a week and a half till the Harbaugh era leaves the abstract and becomes reality!! Go Blue

A pretty good week for me...... yea!  Next travels start September 23rd so my personal goal is around 250 by then so lots of work to do.  Getting my water in has gone well, but work has slowed my physical activity a bit.  Normally my post-retirement job gives me time to walk at work.  Darn if I didn't have actual work to do last week! and couldn't get my walking in.... hahah.  I thought I was getting paid to exercise . . . . hmm

Today=254

Glad to here you both had good weeks. Have fun on your vacation John.

I'm 2 lbs from being "overweight". I've been obese for over 22 years.

Biking has been fun, I'm just worried about the times when we get ice and snow and cold weather.  I already get cold hands if I'm inside in the air conditioning to long. I wonder where my weight will settle as I am just going to keep eating as I have been . I have been able to pick up my intake slightly but I don't think I can eat anything more and still get all of my water. I go to the doctor for 6 month check in in a few weeks. I've reached and surpassed what I thought was possible when this all started.  thanks Everyone For Being Here and Contributing To the support we all need.

Ht:6'5 Start weight 427, surgery weight=362 current weight 238 goal weight unsure?

You need one of these. I see them more and more.

As far as winter goes, be prepared to buy new gloves. Even your hands have gotten smaller. Like you, I used to be able to make it through winter in shorts and tee shirts. Not so much anymore. Now I wear long sleeve shirts and cover myself in a blanket to stay warm. I even use a blanket at night instead of just a sheet.

Your weight will settle where it feel comfortable naturally. It sounds like you need to make a new goal!

Starting Weight: 350

Last Week (Actually 3 weeks ago) : 205.0

Current Weight: 202.8

Well, after being AWOL with a few busy weeks in August, I'm ready to get back on the boards.  The weekend of the 9th I was putting a new engine in my Jeep.  I love having buddies that are mechanics!  Then, last weekend, we were up north in the UP.  To finish things, I took my wife and daughter on a backpacking overnighter on Friday.  My pack weighed over 80 lbs, because I wanted to make their packs pretty light so they would enjoy it more, and I made it.  It also helped that the trail was only about a mile back to the first campsites.  We set up camp, and then did some dayhiking out from there.  The way I figure, I used to hike when I weighed 150 lbs more, I can deal with the heavy pack.

I'm also glad that I get to go back to the gym this week!  After getting back in town, my gym was shut down this past week for their annual cleaning.  They reopen tomorrow, and I'm glad to get back there.

And of course, best thing about this time of year:  Football!  Cautious optimism about both the Lions and the Wolverines.  I hope to get to see them both in person this fall, but I'm not sure if it's going to happen this year.  If not, I'll definitely be watching on TV.

Have a great week everyone!

Another grandchild?

Rain this week meant yesterday spent on "exterior domicile maintenance".  AKA:  mowing the ^@#$%^ yard!  Today is the interior.

Divorce is FINAL tomorrow afternoon !!  Happy and sad at the same time if that makes sense.  Chief told me Friday that if I did not feel like working in the morning I could have the morning off.  Not going to miss opening day of school zones!  Press firmly since there are four copies.  Have a dentist appointment and need to stick my head in at my other lawyer's office about redoing my will ASAP.  Wish he would have done the divorce but does not do family law any more.  Don't blame him.  It can get u-glee!

Have a Great Week dudes!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
