Well here we go folks it's the start of a whole new life. I had sleeve surgery on 7-8-15 I weighed in on that date at 379, my highest was 401. I will say though three days after my surgery I have not lost a pound which is a little bit of a bummer. In fact I gained weight for the first few days. So I think I am gonna stay off the scales for at least a week.

Welcome to the after surgery side. I didn't get weighed until my follow up one month after surgery.  Just make sure you try to get your liquid and work on building up slowly to the protein goals. Do whatever the doctors team tells you to do.

It's not uncommon to gain weight the first few days due to all the fluids they pumped thru you. I lost at a relatively slow rate for a while but after 8 months, I'm down about 120lbs. It will add up. Be the tortoise, not the hare.

My biggest problem is getting everything I need in a day. I am not feeling hungry most of the day so getting my meals and water intake at the same time is harder than I ever thought it would be.  I also am feeling a little more tried than I thought I would be so naps are becoming my best friend right now.  I think the best choice I have made so far is ordering three different style cookbooks that is meant for living this lifestyle for the rest of my life.

You'll be tired and take a lot of naps for the first month or so. You'll start taking vitamins after 2 weeks and the Iron will help a lot with the energy.

Dont try to overthink things. Nature will take its course and your body will gravitate towards equilibrium. Food will become more normal after about 3 months and get better from there out.

Patient you must be.  Marathon you run.  Sprint not.

I am 2.5 weeks out and understand completely the not hungry feeling.  It is a VERY strange feeling to drink a little bit and then prefer to stop, whether it is water or something nutritious.  Water becomes easier pretty quickly though.  I now can drink 64 ounces a day without much struggle at all.  My physician, which I know everyone is different, recommends during the liquid phase (usually the first 14 days or so) to drink and eat at the same time.  You need to get it in so don't panic about the 30 min before and after meals.  It's all liquid anyway.  Start the other procedure with the next phase, 30 min before and after.  That helped when I found that out.
