I am fortunate.  My surgeon is not the draconian authoritarian I have heard about others having.  I was never given a specific amount to lose in regard weight.  She did say to lose some weight but nothing specific.  I have completed my mandatory 4 scheduled monthly visits with a nutritionist.

 485 Weigh-in, 455 month 1, 451 month 2, and 430 month 3.  Then paperwork submission last week.

Welp.... I did what my surgeon told me not too.  I went crazy and went to Fago de Chao, Brazilian meat Palace, movies and burger joints.  I guess I thought it was a my last meal... em.... weekend.  I gained 8 lbs.... Could not believe it!

Now time to bring down my calories and repent for my dietary sins via exercise.

Aetna insurance is having very fast turn over so I might have the surgery in 3-4 weeks.

Kinda excited... Want to say thanks to the lot of you that have shared your experiences with advice and motivation.

On this weight loss journey to find a new self, to find a more active person, to find a healthy person.

I had my share of food funerals as well. Sounds like you've done a great job so far.

found out today, that I may need to go to Brazil for three weeks in October, and again in February (Shhh, don't tell my wife she's gonna be pissed when she finds out). Think Fogo de Chao every day..... Its all doable. Even after surgery I am finding that I can fit good food into my eating plan by being smart and controlling portions.

These 3-4 weeks will go by in a flash for you.
