Hey guys, haven't checked in for a while, things have been pretty crazy. Still progressing at a great rate and feeling excellent. I am still losing weight at a steady pace (last week only 1.5lb loss but with how aggressive it has been, I wasn't about to complain) this week another 3lb drop and feeling excellent.

High weight (February)   311

Surgery weight (March 2nd) 299

Today's weight   235

Total weight lost since high weight  76lbs in 16 weeks, averaging almost 5lbs a week in loss, including the usual 3 week stall I had that lasted almost 3 weeks.

This is just ridiculous to think about, and after doing many picture sessions and old clothes 'try ons' I finally had a chance to buy some new clothes for my God Daughters baptism this past Sunday and I am gonna throw a few pics up for the hell of it. I feel awesome and have already achieved a weight I just couldn't picture myself at. My mind still has alot of catching up to do to accept the progress I have made and truly understand how great I look and feel. It has happened so fast that it really feels unreal. My fiance started working out and eating much better when I did as well, and she has lost about 30lbs herself during this as well, and feels and looks incredible. The two pictures with us both in it were taken last summer, so not even at my highest weight. Sorry the pictures are so big, no too sure how to adjust that.

Have a great week guys!

Dan

Surgery in two days!   The surgeon settled on VSG after discussing the need for NSaids for my arthritic issues.  Felt if I did the RNY my quality of life would be diminished due to restrictions on meds for the arthritis.  Looking ahead, I am excited, nervous and all things in between.  Refried beans have become my go to meal :-).  Finally my hellish bout with 3 colonoscopies in the last 4 months is now over.  Ten more years before another one!!  :-).  Time for some water . . . .

    My stats this week:

           High weight:  392.0 lbs
Pre-op Weight 4 Aug 09:  377.5 lbs
      1st Surgiversary:  241.0 lbs
      2nd Surgiversary:  212.5 lbs
      3rd Surgiversary:  217.0 lbs
      4th Surgiversary:  214.0 lbs
      5th Surgiversary:  223.0 lbs
Last week:  220.4 lbs / 19.6% body fat / 168.6 lbs muscle mass
This week:  219.2 lbs / 20.5% body fat / 165.8 lbs muscle mass

This week I’m down 1.2 lbs overall but down 2.8 lbs muscle mass.  I made it to the gym 5 days this past week for cardio and strength training.  I did ok mindfully eating.  Protein was good and water ok.

I finally have gotten back to my normal routine and certainly feel it in the gym.  Though I was able to burn calories hiking, the muscles I use in the gym are not the same ones I used for the previous 4 weeks on vacation.

Be safe & have a great week gentlemen!

-Mike
