Even though I was only away from home one night, I still ate dinner out four nights as well as 5 lunches due to a training class we were coordinating. Ughh. The good news is that I was able to choose the restaurants all week, so I was able to choose more friendly places and more friendly snacks.
I was able to get to the gym several times, in addition to one personal training session. I need to step up my game this week and next since I'm not traveling for a couple weeks.
The dog days of summer are starting soon. Yesterday, we picked up fresh strawberries which are awesome this time of year. I'm looking forward to mornings at the farmers market as well as long summer walks. When the tomatos are ready, I'll be eating my new favorite salad (a 2oz piece of Burrata, diced fresh tomato, lots of fresh basil, dribble good olive oil, and really good balsamic vinegar).
Have a great week everyone.

Day of surgery (3-16-15)=362
Last week=283
This week 281
Just two pounds this week. But I bought a 44 belt and last another notch so I guess it's moving around. I also changed my goal to 252 as that will move me out of obese status on the bio chart. I've been riding about 30 to 40 minutes every day on the bike except on the day it rained all day. I'm seeing people I haven't seen in some time and they can't believe it's me. I need to start lifting some weights one of these days.
The best is when people you've known for a long time, don't recognize you. This week I visited a customer I've known for years. I had not been there for about 2 years though. I was in the meeting room with the salesman and the trainees, and the customer (standing right next to me) turned to the salesman and asked why I wasn't there. I tapped him on the shoulder and he did a double take.
252 sounds like a reasonable goal for you depending on your height, but I bet you go lower.
Great Job
John,
I'm 6'5 so I'm not sure where I will end up. It was funny seeing this woman I used to work with for 10 years. I haven't seen her in about 3 years and she did the double take and cones over and hugs me and says where did your weight go? Lol. I told her I got rid of it. I just started a new job about 5 weeks ago so the guys I work with never knew me when I was heavy. They probably didn't understand what she mentioned and nobody said anything. I will just keep trying to eat right and exercise and my weight will eventually level out. Right?
Your weight should end up where it ends up, all depending on your diet and excersize (ie lifestyle). My initial goal was 200#, then 190, then 180 (eventually I came up with a stretch goal of 177). I could get down to 177, but my lifestyle makes it tough. I've acheived my health goals, and I'm happy where I am so I dont sweat it anymore. If I go down, fine. If I go up, time to work on my "lifestyle".
