191.8:  1st Surgiversary

192.6:  Last Weigh in

191.6: CW

180.0: Goal weight

Not a bad week really. I did a pretty good job with food, a very good job with excersize and a good job with vitamins. I was below 190 for a short time last week, but I think I was pretty dehydrated. I am still excersizing more than I was before. I started running a little bit even.

I am realizing more and more how mental diet and excersize is. I know that my nightime snacking is in my head for the most part, and I am coming to realize that my head gets in the way of pushing myself excersizing as well. For example, I was doing squats the other day and I had a weight in mind that I was going to train at. As I was completing a set, I had a moment of clarity and decided to increase the weight. I increased the weight a couple times and started squating a weight I never thought I could. I suppose in this case it was fear that I couldn't lift the weight. When I overcame that fear, I was able to push harder and do more. I think that fear gets in my way a lot in both diet and excersize. Overcoming this fear is a top priority for me.

My three week stint at home is coming to a grinding halt today. I'll be traveling monday through Friday every week for the next four weeks. I really need to focus on diet and excersize these next couple weeks. First up this week is Tampa.

Have a great week everyone.

Day of surgery (3/16/15)= 362

Last week=313

Today =309.5

Well I am set to actually go back to work tomorrow. This should be interesting.

On a positive note, I guess this is a non scale victory.  I seem to be able to handle the warmer temperatures we have been having. The humidity has been low though.

John,

Nice job on your continued success in the gym and the scale. Good luck on your marathon road trip, keep us posted.

Let's see how you do with the cold when it gets back!

The cold is damn brutal after losing weight. After years (decades) of always being too hot, I'm too cold now. Don's right, today's NSV is tomorrow's "Oh Crap"

Yes, the cold was brutal after surgery. I also was the guy who never wore a coat. I was in my house with a damn electric blanket on when the house was at 70.lol. I have 3 sisters who live in South Florida and I might move there or southern California on each day.

I've only sweated once since surgery (not counting exercising) - when I was stuck on the side of the expressway in 88 degree weather.  Otherwise, I'm just not that hot at all.

I hear ya! I'm freezing ALL of the time. I used to be the hot, fat man but not now. I'll take this though; it's WAY easier to add a sweatshirt than to just keep sweating all day. I used to feel like I was in a cup of coffee all day, just simmering and hot. LOL!

Last week: 291.6
This week: 290.0

Total loss of only 1.6. That's my slowest week since I started my journey. It's a little alarming, but I'm going to try to readjust a few things and see if I can get back to what I was losing. Exercise has been good and food has been to plan. I did sneak 1 bite of a cookie, 3 pieces of gum and 1 glass of wine this week, so maybe those little things are adding up. I've been stressing a little bit, I'm putting together a promotion presentation for my boss. I'll deliver it on Tuesday, so fingers crossed!

Have a great week everyone!

You'll have to keep up informed on the promotion. Good luck.

Its tough pill to swallow when you stop losing 4 - 5#/wk. The truth is that even though you're still eating according to plan, your body simply doesn't need as much fuel to survive so you lose less.

You got this though.
