So, what do you think of your team's draft?
I have to say, I like the draft better when the first 3 rounds were on Saturday afternoon, with the rest on Sunday. It made it feel more of an event to me, and I watched almost the whole thing. That said, I also made it into a pig out day, so it's probably good that it's changed!
As a Lions fan, I'm not used to waiting so long for them to make their pick. I thought their trade with Denver was good, but I was puzzled by the pick of the Guard from Duke. He seems like a high character kid, and will probably be a good player, but after losing both Suh and Fairly, we need DT help. The DT from Texas was still there, and would've been a steal. I'm not sure this was the best move for them to make.
The offense was lousy at times last year, and Stafford was sacked a ton, so from that perspective, it makes sense. But I'm afraid that the defense is going to take a major step backwards with a Dline that went from a strength to a possible weakness.
How about your teams? What do you think?

150 lost and maintaining!
We got a big strong fat guy to replace the big strong fat guy we lost.
6'3" tall, male.
Highest weight was 475. RNY on 08/21/12. Current weight: 198.
M1 -24; M2 -21; M3 -19; M4 -21; M5 -13; M6 -21; M7 -10; M8 -16; M9 -10; M10 -8; M11 -6; M12 -5.
It was kind of weird watching this year. Last year, I weighed more than almost all of these guys. This year, almost all of them weigh more than me!

Fun Thread...
I am a HUGE NE Pats Fan....they lucked out and got the #12 rated player, Malcom Brown a DT from Texas at 32. I loved Vince Wilfork but since they released him this pick will hopefully turn into his long term replacement!
Looking forward to the rest of the NFL Draft!!
Yours in WLS Journey,
Bill Mac
This was one of the best picks of the first round. Definitely feels like the rich get richer.

Day 2 seemed to go well. Abdullah is the type of player the Lions needed after letting Bush go. But I still would've rather seen a DT in the 3rd round.

49er fan here...8 and 8 last year. Niner fans are up in arms about their picks...Not solid proven player. First draft pick at the combine was 20 years old, defensive end. A project..."Could be" great someday. Second pick was a safety from Samford...No not Stanford!! He was projected in the 3rd or 4th round...Good hitter, but lacks coverage...What are they thinking?? 3rd round pick makes sense finally...Outside linebacker...He can get to the QB (fast) but not big.
The problem with the 49ers is their offense can't get people open. Kap (Kaepernick) can only do 2 reads and then gets happy feet or checks down. Other teams are putting 8 men "in the box" to test the Niners to see if they will get burned...None have. Also the Niners are very bad inside the 20 yard line. Here is my prediction...The Raiders (who beat the 49ers last year) will have a better record than the Niners this year...
IRVING, Texas – Nothing could summarize the Cowboys’ actions in the second and third rounds of this weekend’s NFL draft than their own words.
The story is a perfect juxtaposition. With their first pick on Friday night, the Cowboys used their No. 60 overall pick on defensive end Randy Gregory – a mercurial player with first-round talent and a long list of off-field concerns.
“We’re not naïve here – it’s not by accident that we’re the only ones who thought Gregory was a great pass rusher,” said Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones. “We’re not naïve. Obviously, he fell for a reason, and we’re aware of that. There’s work to be done.”
That is from their website. Looks we got another "problem child", tested positive for marijuana at the Combine, to keep the Cowboys in the headlines for reasons other than winning football games.
Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
