I ended up having a pretty good two weeks. My weight actually went below 190 last week after my vacation. Last week I was in The Ashville NC area visiting family. Instead of the gym, I went on three hikes. One was 3 miles, and two were 6 miles each. Since it was Easter and my DW's birthday, I found it very hard to eat properly. When I came home, I weighed myself and I was up 5#. After an initial gasp, I realized there was no way I ate that many surplus calories, and realized that I was not drinking enough liquids. I focused the rest of the week on eating right, and drinking lots of water and BAM I lost 7#. All water weight.

In all, it was a nice vacation, I had a good time on the hikes getting some good excersize and relaxnig at the same time. I still think I am nearing a maintenence weight, even though I wouldn't complain if I was able to get into the 180's consistently.

This week, I'm back to Texas (Midlothian) for three days. With this trip, I should be able to stay on track eating and excersizing.

Have a great week all....

John

Max weight=427

Day of surgery 3/16/15=362

Last week= 337

This week=331

I am feeling ready to start exercising but the doctor told me nothing but walking for the first 6 weeks. So I will try to up the walking this week. I go for my next doctor visit 4/27 and they are supposed to clear me to go back to work the next day. I'm kinda getting worried about getting all of my water and protein in when I go back as I do field service in hospital operating rooms. So I drive 2-3 hours then wor****il I get stuff fixed then go back home. They are talking about expanding my territory and also having me help others around the country,  so more travel. I didn't want to be away from home overnight so much. I might need to find other employment.

John,

Good job on keeping it in perspective and thanks for sharing you experience with the way you deal with being on the road. I really appreciate all the guys who post there weekly battle and everyone's guidance.

Great job so far.

I actually find traveling easier than being at home. My wife can sometimes derail me a little, and I have terrible head hunger at night. When I am in a hotel, and eating in restaurants, I find myself much more controlled.

If you are driving, you have the added bonus of being able to pack/carry much of your own food. Getting protein isn't generally a problem if you can eat chicken/steak/fish. I find shrimp coctais to be an awesome source of protein. You can also bring your own protein bars/powder to help you stay on track. Also, witha  cooler, you can bring raw veggies etc to help stay on track.

Good luck with the new territory.

If y'all will notice that says SEVENTH SURGIVERSARY!!  So for any skeptics saying that surgery is the "easy way out" or does not work long time they can bite my deflated, saggy, hairy, honky ass!!

Spent all day yesterday on yard work and was dealing with the local "titan of tile" being in and out doing back splash in master bathroom that did not get done first time tile company was here.  It was held off because soon to be X2, more on her in a moment, wanted to do major renovation on master bath, master closet and part of the storeroom, and only recently replaced the countertop with granite but did not do the backsplash when we did.  Now that she is gone any major renovation plans went with her so just making it presentable.  Next phase is the painting.

I have told this to several guys and they all get a kick out of it so I'll share it here too.  Not saying that I have to have it each and every time but I did have some samples of Viagra stashed in the bathroom.  Went to looking for something else in the same drawer a few weeks ago and noticed the Viagra is GONE!!  Unknown if soon to be X2 tossed them in the trash or took them with her but talk about chicken ****!  Told my PCP this a few days ago and he got to laughing so hard he almost fell off his stool!  He hooked me up with a fresh batch before I left.  So nothing lost and a funny story gained at her expense.

John, the bluebonnets are blooming so you should see an abundance of our State flower when you are here.

Carry on!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Thanks John.

I don't know when you will be here this week but I know what my schedule looks like and if I had some wiggle room I'd offer to meet up for supper  With the exception of Wednesday I'm stacked through next Sunday!

I will be staying in Mansfield Tuesday and Wednesday nights. My boss is coming into town this time, but the next time I go to Midlothian, I'll set some time aside to have dinner. that would be fun.
