Peeps

My PEEPS, what a beautiful day here in Middle Georgia!  For those of us celebrating this Easter Sunday, please pace yourself on the goodies!

    My stats this week:

           High weight:  392.0 lbs
Pre-op Weight 4 Aug 09:  377.5 lbs
      1st Surgiversary:  241.0 lbs
      2nd Surgiversary:  212.5 lbs
      3rd Surgiversary:  217.0 lbs
      4th Surgiversary:  214.0 lbs
      5th Surgiversary:  223.0 lbs
Last week:  220.2 lbs / 22.7% body fat / 161.8 lbs muscle mass
This week:  221.4 lbs / 21.7% body fat / 165.0 lbs muscle mass

I’m up another 1.2 lbs overall this week but recovered 3.2 lbs muscle mass.  I made it to the gym 4 days this past week for cardio and strength training.  I did ok mindfully eating.  I made an extra effort to increase my water intake and protein which I believe resulted in the increased muscle mass and a 1% increase in body water.  I’ll continue to focus on water and protein this week.

Be safe & have a great week gentlemen!

-Mike

140 Total Weight Loss

In the fact that I am Catholic, this is an important time in the church year. However, there is also a lot of get togethers and FOOD FOR DAYS!!! In the fact that the scale tipped up 3, know it is time to hunker down. I am trying to keep my weight in the range of 200-210 but do not like how it is trending...

Eating:  OK way too many sugars and carbs. Tried to do the moderation thing, but clearly not too well. Back to the basics...

Vitamins: All good on these...recent labs indicate low Iron and D so taking some additional to bring those  back to normal.

Water: OK..little better this week

Exercise: Good week 3 days of Spin class, two days of running

Have a great week

Yours in WLS Journey,

Bill Mac

Hey guys!

High Weight: 380

Starting Weight: 350

Last Week: 231.2

Current Weight: 226.6

In the 220's!  Woo hoo!  I'm not religious, but I do have a family get together later.  Fortunately there will be some good options (along with plenty of not-good options, of course).  And, I have a 6 year old, so there's a ton of candy around already, and there will be even more once her grandparents get to her.  I was having a hard time with it yesterday.  I had my surgery on October 6th, so I was still very early out for Thanksgiving and Christmas.  For this one, physically I can eat anything, so it's going to be a challenge to stay on track.  But since the scale keeps moving, I know that'll help me stay strong.

Keep working hard!

150 lost and maintaining!

Last week:  170.6

This week:  171.0 (Never underestimate the importance and of the "morning nasty stinky" when it comes to what it can do for you on the scales!)

Rainy here.  Inch and a quarter in the rain gage so far.

As a society we celebrate His birth more than the Crucifixion and Resurrection.  They need equal billing.

Next two weeks of life are going to be boogers.  Have something significant inked in on nearly every day.  Work and health related items both.  Issues at work since our Chief is having shoulder surgery tomorrow.  He'll be gone a good week and half or two weeks and have very limited abilities when he returns.  Our #2, has been burning comp time for the LAST SEVERAL MONTHS and his first day back will be tomorrow.  Will have to remind him the bullets come out of the end of the gun where the hole is.

Still no treadmill.  May brave the rain and go look again today.

Have a Great Week and I'll take Duke for argument's sake.

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Well, after a couple of weeks hiatus posting, I'm back. It was a good week, especially considering that the two weeks prior CHF had me losing and gaining 10-12 lbs on a daily basis. After having meds readjusted, water weight seems to have stabilized. Have a great week everyone!

Weight before pre-op diet: 311

Surgery date weight: 299

Weight last week: 279

Weight this week: 274.5

I am happy with a loss this week, especially after stalling up for the 2-4 week period for the most part. The total of 36lbs loss just doesn't feel equal to how I/my clothes are feeling, I am thinking another 20lbs or so and I will be able to tell a more drastic difference. I am working on exploring solid foods for my diet, so far no issues with lunch meats, hard boiled eggs, cheeses ect. I have tried some grilled chicken without issue and would like to attempt some small portion of beef at some point. We have a very old Polish fresh sausage recipe that goes way back, and I have one link in the freezer I might boil up and try a very small portion of, it would be a great change-up and packs some good protein with no carbs, just high in fat so its a good thing the amount will be so low.

Have a good week guys! I am getting some fishing time in on the Illinois river later this week and pretty excited about Lake Erie trip in 3 weeks and again in 5 weeks, then a Northwoods Wisconsin trip Memorial day weekend. Hopefully as the weather warms Ill feel more comfortable and possibly take on wearing just a t-shirt out and about (something I haven't done in many a year).

Might want to split the sausage open and pull the innards out of the casing.
