Final Four Sunday Weigh In

191.6: Last Weigh in

180.0: Goal weight
Two weeks without a weight change isn't bad considering the first spring vacation. I wasn't able to work out as much as I wanted, but got a crapload of steps in walking on the beach and through Clearwater. Two days ago was a legs day with the traininer, and I can still hardly walk. No more leg days this coming week becasue of spring vacation 2 next weekend.
Next weekend I'll be gone again. This time to Ashville North Carolina to see the MIL. My neice has heard of my weight loss, and is planning two (yes two) brutal death marches, I mean hikes, through the mountains. I told the traininer that I needed to stick with arms, chest and back this week to save my legs for the death march.
I'm not really much of a Basketball fan, but my kids have been going crazy watching Michigan State. I sometimes break down and watch the final four games. We'll see.
I hope everyone has a great two weeks. I was pretty busy these last two weeks, so I didn't contribute much. Hopefully I'll be able to check in more thsi week and next. As I said, I won't be around next weekend to weigh myself, so hopefully someone else can kick off this thread.

Two NSV's of sorts this week.
1. Finally dry enough on Saturday to get the frigging yard completely done. Unfortunately it will be the first of many times it will be done before it freezes again in October or November.
2. The check engine light was illuminated on my car and I had to go make a minor road trip Tuesday after work. Was going to use one of my Mom's trucks when I asked for the keys to her Mustang. It was the first time I had even tried to get in the car since surgery seven years ago much less drive it. Had fun driving it! It is a GT with a real V-8 under the hood. I'll assert my Fifth Amendment right against self incrimination with regards to any violations of Texas Transportation Code 545.352! (Speeding)
I got my F150 super crew just because it was easier for me to fit in. I'll have it for another year and a half, but am starting to think about what to replace it with. For the first time in over 10 years I am considering a car (Taurus SHO).
What happens on the roads in Texas stays on the roads. Our lips are sealed.
The Numbers:
346: All time high 7/1/10 - BMI = 52
326: Tufts Medical Center, Surgery 12/27/10 BMI=49
206: 3/21/15-->0 lb gain BMI=30
206: 3/28/15---0 lb Gain BMI=30
140 Total Weight Loss
No movement up or down. Steady she goes is good with me!! I think being between 200 and 210 w/ a goal of 206 is about right looking at my numbers over last 3 months!
Eating: OK week. Some meals and days did pretty well, other times not so good. For example Friday I did well overall and yesterday just not good!! still gotta try to stay mindful and focus on each meal.
Vitamins: Minor issue. Per Lab work my Iron and Vitamin were low so gotta take extra for next few weeks/months to be back at normal.
Water: OK..little better each week
Exercise: Only got to the gym 3 times..mostly as I had a cold/sinus infection. Still, felt best today and did a 6 mile run.
Have a great week!

Wow. I cant believe I lost 20 lbs since my surgery. I wasn't expecting to loose much in the first 4 weeks? I am still off from work and getting my liquid and my protein in. They put me on puree and I am trying to try a few different things hear and there. Lacrosse season is getting into full swing around here and seeing more people I haven't seen since June. I've had a few people ask me what I am doing to loose the weight. I just say logging food using fitness pal and being very diligent about it. I'm not lying right , because I am. I cant wait to get back to running and lifting. good times.
Now the basketball ... I think the national championship game is set already...the winner of Wisconsin and Kentucky will win it all.

High Weight: 380
Starting Weight: 350
Last Week: 231.2
Current Weight: 229.2
At the end of this week, I reached my personal goal of 230 (my doctor gave me a goal of 250). My "pie in the sky" goal was to get to 210, and I should be able to get there in the next three months.
I'm not much of a basketball fan either, but I'm interested to see if Izzo can keep his March Magic going. Ultimately, I want to see anyone but Kentucky win it all (I even had to root for Notre Dame last night *shudder*).
Including today, I was at the gym only 3 days last week. This week, I can't go Monday and Tuesday (P/T conferences), Friday or Sunday (my gym is the YMCA, so they're closed those days). So it'll be another 3 day week this week. Oh well, it can't be helped.
Keep working hard guys!

150 lost and maintaining!
@John, keep a watch out for tar!
@Don, now that’s my kind of Granny ride!
@David, excellent progress!
@Bill Mac, still having to dodge the snow drifts on your runs?
@Eric, yep you lose a lot the first couple of weeks since you body has not realized what has happened to it - sorta like when you do a crash diet. Your weight loss will slow especially after you’re back on solid food with a more consistent monthly loss for the first 18 months post-op.
@Bill, CONGRATS on meeting your personal goal!
My stats this week:
High weight: 392.0 lbs
Pre-op Weight 4 Aug 09: 377.5 lbs
1st Surgiversary: 241.0 lbs
2nd Surgiversary: 212.5 lbs
3rd Surgiversary: 217.0 lbs
4th Surgiversary: 214.0 lbs
5th Surgiversary: 223.0 lbs
Last week: 219.0 lbs / 21.8% body fat / 162.8 lbs muscle mass
This week: 220.2 lbs / 22.7% body fat / 161.8 lbs muscle mass
I’m up 1.2 lbs overall this week but down another lb muscle mass. I made it to the gym 5 days this past week for cardio and strength training and ran a 5K yesterday. I did ok mindfully eating, but my body water is down 3%. Probably the reason why my muscle mass is down. I need to work on that this week.
Be safe & have a great week gentlemen!
-Mike
