They put me on PUREE!!

So I just got back from the doctors and they put me on Puree. 

My family has pasta and meatballs last night so I am trying a meeatball.

Wow that's crazy. I had surgery 2 weeks before you and started soft foods just yesterday, but mine includes just plain deli meats, light cheeses and scrambled eggs. Good luck!

Wow I was on liquids for 5 weeks

I had to puree it and only 2 oz. I am going to try eggfaces baked ricotta recipe later. 9 and a half days . They told me it would be about 10 to 14 days. Depending if I was getting all my liquid and protein in. I have documentation on every bite and time since my surgery.  I had my surgery with doctor Noel Williams.  He is the head of the department at university of Pennsylvania hospital.  I'm trusting they know what they are doing.

I never had to do puree, I just needed to chew really well. I would rather have done protein shakes for a couple extra weeks before I would have pureed anything.

6'3" tall, male.

Highest weight was 475. RNY on 08/21/12. Current weight: 198.

M1 -24; M2 -21; M3 -19; M4 -21; M5 -13; M6 -21; M7 -10; M8 -16; M9 -10; M10 -8; M11 -6; M12 -5.

yea, I basically am just trying a few things. I still had my protein drink for lunch. I might get some split pea soup and or black beean soup and blend it a bit for some more flavors. I don't understand it, like you said why cant I just chew good? I am just going to listen to the doctor and keep on Loggin. Thanks for the support/

I am 6 days post surgery, and am on full liquid until 7 days more.  My dietician gave me an interesting recipe that has become my go-to.  Wendy's chili, skim milk, blended and strained.  Not Bad!
