nissen fudoplication to RNY?

Has anyone had a nissen fundo in the past and are now looking at getting RNY done? I have been approved, met with the surgeon today, but in 2014 I had a nissen fundoplication done for acid reflux which has not been effective. I understand there is more risk, but I would like to hear from some who has had it done and what the results were. Recovery time? Any complications, or other issues? Any help or advise would be welcome
