Confession: My weight loss this week is an anomaly!!! I weighed my self after running my 3rd 1/2 Half Marathon (13.1 friggin miles!) Still, I don't choose em, I just post em so if it is 202 I will take it!!
Eating: OK week. Still struggle with head hunger between lunch and dinner and then at nite. Need to work on some strategies to deal with it as I reflect on it had been ongoing issue post op.
Vitamins: On check continue to take all necessary for post op
Water: Started to carry a water bottle (camelback) during the week to REMIND myself to drink as I often neglect it.
Exercise: Well, in the fact I did a 1/2 marathon today indicates it is going well...one of the best things about losing the weight is the ability to exercise as I absolutely LOVE it...
Support: Attended a post op group at local hospital and always good to hear how others are doing...
Have a great week!

I'm pleased with this week. It was rough eating-wise. I was not 100% on track, but I obviously still lost, so I'm not going to beat myself up about it. I'm just going to make sure I'm on plan this week.
It'll be weird this St. Patty's Day without at least one Guinness, but then again, it's also been weird Thanksgiving without pigging out, ditto Christmas, no alcohol New Year's Eve, etc. I turn 40 next month, and it'll be over 6 months post-op, so I think I'll have my first beer then. But I definitely don't even want to think about alcohol until I'm past the 6 month mark.
We got up over 60 on Friday! It was so glorious! I was not only going around without a coat, but also driving with the window down. Yesterday, I drove north and went for a dayhike. I was out on the trail for 3-4 hours. It was only in the upper 30's to lower 40's, but it wasn't too bad. It was nice to get out there. Unfortunately, after Tuesday, the unseasonably warm temps are supposed to leave. The rest of the week is supposed to be low to mid 40s. If we can get mid 40's, that's basically average for around here, so I'll take it.
Keep working hard guys!

No doubt. I was fully prepared to have gained a little.

Last Week: 318.4
This Week: 315.1
Week Loss: 3.3
Surgery Loss: 112.9
Total Loss: 134.9
My most exercise-filled week ever. I walked a total of 43.41 miles! My food was on point and I just felt really good. With the nicer weather, I've been walking 3 miles each lunch hour and just moving, moving, moving. I was slightly disappointed that 3.3 was where I came in this week. I really would have thought more. But, I do feel "smaller" like maybe my body is pulling in a bit? I dunno, maybe I'm just being crazy.
Have a great week!
Down 2 this week, I'm pre op and have lost 34 pounds so far. I attended granddaughters 1st birthday last night and did not eat anything i was not supposed to. The cake was tempting, but I declined. I meet with the surgeon on thrusday and hope to get a surgery date. I'm headed out to but groceries in a few and then to the gym for a workout. Thursday will not come soon enough.
The weather is 57 and wind and rain, so I will stick to the treadmill tonight instead of the asphalt.
Nicely done. I'm pretty sure that the better you do pre-op, the better your post op outcome should be. Its tough for sure, but just keep looking at your grandkids and know you'll be around for them as they get older. I keep a picture of mine on my iphone main screen so I see them smile everytime I unlock it. It gives me great motivation.
I'll be a day behind with these since I'm making Mondays my weigh in day since my surgery was on a Monday.
Today makes 2 weeks post op for me. I'm feeling great overall, just some discomfort from my drain incision. Otherwise I am still in full liquid phase for another week, so mostly protein shakes, Greek yogurt and blenderized soup for me. Fluids I'm getting at least 70+oz a day which is great.
High weight 312
Surgery day weight 299

I am very happy with a loss of 30lbs in last 3 weeks. I'm sure a lot of that is water and garbage my body was holding onto, but it feels great to see that and feel the difference. I'm moving past the initial regret phase I think, I'm sure once I can have some scrambled eggs and lunch meet next week I'll feel even better.
I am setting a goal for myself to be at the weight I was for my brothers wedding 3 years ago which was 245 by the time we go on our annual late spring walleye fishing trip. The trip is Memorial day weekend, so that gives me a little over 2 months to drop 37lbs. I'm hoping thats not too unrealistic.
Water intake is great, walking every day at least 2 miles. I don't start my vitamins until Wednesday this week so I can't comment on that as of yet.
Keep up the good work all!
Dan
