Going in the right direction. This last week was a tough one. I was able to get my workouts in, as well as vitamins. My meal planning wa**** and miss mostly due to my scheduled. I was able to navigate two landmines that I had been thinking about for a while. Firstly, drinking water during a business meal has been a pain. I'm tired of unsweetend ice tea as well. This past week, I drank wine with my meal twice. I probably wont make a habit out of it, since I am not a huge fan, but it breaks the monontiny a little. I was able to take a few sips to fit in, then gave the rest to a co-worker. I didn't feel like I was missing out on anything, and at the same time I was extrememly cautious about any sobriety concerns and caloric concerns.
The other hurdle was the Brazilian Steakhouse. I work for a Brazilian company, and so this is a neccessary evil for me. I did pretty well at Texas de Brazil until the dessert tray came around. I admit, I had the Papya cream. I probably wont do that again since I could not stop at a spoonful or two.
This week I am gone for four days again, then I get two weeks at home. Looking forward to restarting personal training on March 2.
Have a great week everyone!
John

I can say the same thing about my STBX getting her property out of the house! Took two pickup trucks worth of refuse to the City dumpster yesterday. So nice to see the floor in the garage and storeroom again. Trying to find a cleaning person to come in and do a deep clean while the house is pretty well void of hindrances do doing so. Like furniture. Need to go find me a new treadmill since the one I was using went back to Conroe last weekend.
Forecasting sleet here tonight and tomorrow. Ice on the road here is like Brill cream - Just a little dab will do ya'!
Have a Great Week!
I only walk on the treadmill. 53 year old knees don't care for the pounding of running.
As to the clutter thing in the house - I should have known when I saw her house the first time to run. Love being blind I had the thought that if she moves in with me surely she'll pare this down before she does. Male bovine gastrointestinal tract byproduct! AKA: Bull****! She moved it! Was surprised at how much room I had around my city truck, a 2013 Chevy 4-door Silverado PU, after all the crap was gone!

This was an interesting week. After posting a great weight on Sunday, I got up Monday morning and saw I gained 3.5 lbs! The only thing that was new on Sunday was that I drank a total of 64 oz of Powerade Zero. I knew it had more sodium than what I usually drink (which is 0), so maybe that is what did it to me. I have been losing pretty consistently, so I'm ready for a stall to hit, but I wasn't ready for it to go up. I was pretty frustrated, but I just stuck to the plan.
Tuesday it came down a little, Wednesday it went back up, and since Thursday I've dropped every day. So overall I'm pleased that I'm down over a pound for the week. It could've been much worse.
No work on Thursday and Friday due to extremely cold weather. There's just too many kids that have to walk to school, or wait at a bus stop. When the wind chill is -30, frostbite can hit very quickly. It was really good timing, because I was able to go to the gym those two days, when my work schedule would've prevented it. We're in another Wind Chill Warning until noon tomorrow, so there's a chance school will be cancelled on Monday as well. We've used 4 of our snow days, and by Michigan law, we can use 6 before we need to make-up the time. We had to make up 3 days last year, so we're in better shape so far. If we do get school called tomorrow, that'll still give us one more day, and by this time of year we should be safe with that.

150 lost and maintaining!
Great job. As you get further from surgery, it will be more difficult to see the 4# weeks. I think thats for a couple reasons. Firstly, you are losing both fat and muscle, so your resting calorie burn is less than it was when you were heavier. Second, you are likely eating more. At some point the two will meet. I speak from personal experiance becasue that's what's happening to me right now. My opinion is that while we all want the quick weight loss, at some point losing more slowely and methodically is good for us.
Again, keep up the good work, you're doing great.
Thanks John. I've tried to get myself mentally prepared for the slowdown, especially since I'm almost at 5 months out. I hope my honeymoon period continues for a while, but I realize it may stop soon. I'm also getting closer to my ultimate goal, so I expect it to slow down. I have 230 set as my goal right now, but I really would like to get down to about 210. With my height (6'3"), and my build, I think that would be a perfect weight for me, even if BMI would still say I'm a little overweight.
