Hey David.  You've got to be so excited right now!  Great job on the pre-op diet.

Is there anything specific you're wondering about for those first few days?  Really, the first couple of weeks after surgery are all about:  walking, drinking, resting.  That's really all you'll be doing.  The hospital will usually have you up and walking within a couple of hours of surgery, and it's really important to move often.  Working up to drinking 64oz a day will take a while, so you'll have to get as mu*****using tiny sips of course) as you can.  And then, of course, it's major surgery, so you'll be resting to recover and get your strength back.

I'm still a newbie, but so far this is still one of the best decisions I've ever made.  Good luck!

Yes  believe me when I say you will definitely want to get up and walk and it feels good too.everything else your doctor and hospital staff will you with... It is somewhat grueling but thats what the pain pumps for use it as needed. All downhill from here you are going to love the new you... wishing you the best for surgery...

LIFE IS HARD, BUT GIVING UP HAS NO REWARDS!!!

You will do fine. I have lost at least 110 lbs so far. Hang in there. It's just one step and day at a time

Hey David,

I know it's only been a day, but when you're back on here, let us know how you're doing.
