Anyone normally wear compression shirts and shorts?

I wear THE shirts all day and after a while you can't even feel them.  My favorite is the UA Heatgear and I'm wearing them one size smaller on a daily basis and two size smaller for sports and workout.

I wear Nike compression tops and compression shorts in the gym. I have a mixture or starter, Nike and UA. As far as compression pants, I dont wear those quite as often as my other workout clothes but overall compression gear is great for your sweat, keeping everything nice and tight, etc. If you go to any sports store they have a ton of options and not only just dri fit, etc. Cheers

I just got a Spanx compression t shirt on sale at Macy's. It's so supportive and my posture has never been better! I can only wear it a few hours at a time as it's really supportive. It was $55 but on sale for $29. A lot more than I would normally pay, but actually it's way better than the cheap ones I did have. If you can find a sale, I say go for it. I wouldn't pay $55 for it, but I'm cheap like that. :)

Thanks for the info about Macy's.  I wanted to try the Spanx, but $55 is definitely way too much.  It's good to know that they go on sale sometimes.

Super silly question: why wear compression gear? What purpose does it serve?

I'm looking for a shirt to hold everything in place while I excersize. Too much loose skin flapping around.

I also currently wear it in the gym, for the skin.  I'm thinking about wearing it as an undershirt all day though.  Just to help hold in this loose skin.

Sorry to be so dense... Is it because it is physically uncomfortable to work out with the loose skin or more for vanity? I ask because I too already have a lot of loose skin and plan to start in the gym next month. Just wondering if I should purchase now. Thank you.

I don't wear a compression shirt yet. I plan on buying some this week. My problem is that the loose skin either pinches me when I am laying down working out (say crunches), or is uncomfortable when I do a cardio type activity (like running). Since I've lost a bunch of weight, I have more energy than I've had in a long time. instead of walking down stairs, I bound down the stairs. My excess skin flaps around and really hurts. I'm hoping that the compression shirts hold everything together to be more comfortable.
