Sunday Weigh in

John,

I try to consistently measure at the same time/day every week.  To be blunt I weigh after I've done a BM and before I shower.  Moisture can affect the electrical impedence.  I've never checked the accuracy of my scale relative to a water bath measurement of my body fat %.  Whatever the absolute accuracy of the scale I reasoned that the relative measurement (& improvement hopefully) over time is the more importanct indicator of health.  The manual says the scale is accurate to +/- 3% for body fat measurement.  I'd be interested in your results.

I was in Fort Walton Beach for two weeks in December on business.  It was very nice but a *****illy on a couple of mornings but nothing like the subzero temps y'all have had.  Take care and watch out for the jellyfish.

Overall, not surprised that I am up a couple. Hurt my calf last Monday and did not get to exercise all week. Plus, have some family issues as my Father in Law is very sick and docs think his time is short. Still, have to try to keep the emotional eating at bay. It comes down to choices every time I eat...I know which is which but not always the easiest to do!!

Tough Week of exercise. Still, calf was better by the end of the week and was able to exercise on Saturday and Sunday.  Hope to ramp it back up this week!

Vitamins and Water are good overall.

Have a great week gentlemen!

Emotional eating is a tough one, as well is eating out of boredom. Stating the obvious, but never, ever, ever give up.

The older I get the more care I have to take in stretching and warming up before exercise; then cooling down and strectching after exercise.  When I didn't, I've injured myself on more than one occasion.  When I do injure, I modify my regiment to allow the injury to heal.  Someimtes for months such as when I hurt my left elbow, I had to abstain from strength training on my upper body for 9 months.  As we've stated numerous times, the journey we are on is a marathon and not a sprint.

Take care,

Mike

I'm all kinds of late for this, but here are my numbers from Sunday;

LW: 353.2
TW: 349.4

Week Loss: 3.8

Post-Surgery 9/26/2014 Loss: 78.6
Total Loss: 100.6

A little slower this week. I didn't work out as much, but I broke the 100 marker this week! Woohoo, I was so excited but immediately went into my next goal. I've been taking smaller steps on the way so my new 'goal' is 330. It's easier for me to work to that than a crazy number like 240. That doesn't really even seem like a thing since it's so far away.

Reached 'normal' BMI (24.9) with a weight of 199.9: 2/5/2016

Congrates on the 100#!!!! Great job.

I hear you on the goals. While I have always had an end goal for weight in mind, the goal I couldn't wrap my head around was pants and shirt size. Even at the goal weight I set, I never envisioned myself in the size I am wearing today, which is the same size I wore 35 years ago.

I have no doubt you'll not only get to your short term goal, but also your long term goal. Although the closer you get to the long term goal, the sloooowwwwwweeeeerrrrrr the weight comes off.
