Yea. I did some research on bodybuilding.com and added Creatine pre/post workout. I also do a protein shake after workout that has BCAA and Glutamine worked in. I usually split it 1/2 before, 1/2 after. I do miss Motrin though, tylenol just doesn't cut it if I push too hard (leg day!)

Keep in mind that heavy lifting while losing weight will help maximize retention of lean body mass. But as long as you are in weight loss mode, you will lose muscle, and you cannot build new muscle. You can build strength, but building strength is not the same as adding new muscle.

Adding muscle requires a calorie surplus. That's why body builders go through a cutting and bulking cycle -- adding calories to build muscle, but also fat, then cutting calories to drop fat while lifting to retain as much of the new muscle as they can.

Dropping a couple hundred pounds means a whole bunch of muscle will disappear. Heavy lifting will alter the ratio of fat and LBM loss compared to someone who doesn't lift.

It is really a tough balance. I want to build muscle but I know I can't on 700 cals a day. I am building strength, endurance, and flexibility though. I will work on the weight loss for now but not expect to gain mass until I hit goal.
