Last week:  176.2

This week:  174.0

I must have been "living right" this week.  Back under the "red line".

Looks like it will be 0regon, TCU, Florida State and Alafrickingbama in the Final Four since they all won yesterday.  Cowboys knocked off Chicago Thursday night and are cooling their heels till next Sunday evening.

The Mrs. was gone yesterday so I went and did my Christmas shopping while I had the chance.  I found everything I was after and learned something the hard way - 96 gallon rolling trash bins, older brother's gift, don't fit in a Toyota Corolla.  I don't care how you try and get it in there it ain't going to fit!  I guess I was being optimistic that it would.  Try it again today.

Have a Great Week guys!

@Don, keep up the good work!  Condolences to your Bulldogs.  Maybe next year.

    My stats this week:

           High weight:  392.0 lbs
Pre-op Weight 4 Aug 09:  377.5 lbs
      1st Surgiversary:  241.0 lbs
      2nd Surgiversary:  212.5 lbs
      3rd Surgiversary:  217.0 lbs
      4th Surgiversary:  214.0 lbs
      5th Surgiversary:  223.0 lbs
Last week:  228.4 lbs / 20.2% body fat / 173.4 lbs muscle mass
This week:  221.6 lbs / 21.7% body fat / 165.0 lbs muscle mass

I’m down 6.8 lbs overall and down 8.4 lbs muscle mass.  I made it to the gym on four days for cardio.  I did well this past week well mindfully.  Looking over my journal for the past two months, the last time my muscle mass was around 165 lbs, my overall was about 224.  So, I headed in the right direction.  I got to continue to do well mindfully eating over the next several weeks being on the road for the next two weeks and then on vacation the following two.

Tonight, my Vols will find out which bowl game match-up we will have.  The Falcons travel to Green Bay tomorrow night.

Please take a moment today and remember the terrible sacrifice that we made as a country 73 years ago today, December 7, 1941.

Be safe & have a great week gentlemen!

Orange Bowl not a shabby gig.

For obvious reasons, this is TX, folks royally peeved over TCU and Baylor being passed over in the selections.

Remember being at the Arizona Memorial on a trip to Hawaii in 1980 and seeing a middle aged Japanese man standing there with misty eyes.  Wandered what role he had played on that fateful day.

Well, its been a while since I checked in. Between moving my parents, and holiday visitors I have not been close to my scale. Its also been hard keeping up with mindful eating. Although I lost a pound over the last three weeks, I know I could have done better. This week, I'll be through with family visits and actually pretty much done with the whole holiday season. I need a strong finish over the next month to get closer to my goal for my surgiversary.

Lions are looking healthy at the end of the season. I'm hoping they can make a push strong enough to stay in teh playoff hunt. It wouldn't hurt my feelings if the Packers could see their way to a loss in the next few weeks. As for the Wolverines, I'm looking forward to them getting back to true Michigan form. We need to not only get back to doing well in the Big 10, but we need to be more competitive with thh SEC.

On a final note: @Don and @Mike, thank you for your follow ups. They do keep me extra motivated to do well not only now, but also to create habits to be succesful long term. @Mike - Impressive results this week. I am waiting for my surgiversary to get a body mass scale like yours. I want to go to the University of Minnesota and get a good body analysis (muscle mass, RMR, VO2 etc) and then follow up on my own with the scale you use or something close.

I can remember the days when Michigan was a major force in college football.  FWIW I never cared for Woody Hayes.

The body mass analysis sounds like good idea.  Toss in a bone density while you are there.  Preaching to choir and I need to go have one done before suggesting it to anybody else.

I *****ed until I got the Bariatric doc to refer me for a DEXA scan. I wanted it as a baseline, but  didn't get it until four months after surgery. The scan showed the begining of some bone denisty loss, but reversible. I am taking 1800 mg calcium now. I'm hoping that reducing my synthroid, adding calcium and excersize will stop the bone density loss. I'll get another scan on 1 - 1 1/2 years.

last week 316lbs

CW 310lbs

Down another 6lbs this week. although good in the scale I'm feeling really tired and exhausted and not doing much exercise.

I've had a very tough week as my left eye had been bothering me for a while and the Dr said it is shingles in the cornea!!!  Add to that that I've had two corneal transplants before and it is really scary. Taking some antivirals and that has me all screwed up too in the new pouch and plumbing.

Congratulations on dropping six pounds this week but shingles in the cornea sounds awfully pain full.  Hope it all gets cleared up soon.

Might want to check with your surgeon and see if s/he would want you to start on a probiotic to restore the bacterial balance in your gizzard if the antivirals are throwing it out of kilter.

I held this week, at least.  I knew the last few days hadn't been the best, so I'm satisfied with staying the same.

I'm pretty happy with the Lions today.  Even though they let Tampa stay in way too long, it never really felt like the Bucs had a chance.  I think they win at least two more, but they're all division games left, so you never know.

As for Michigan, was it really 2006 that we were ranked #2?  Wow.  I'm antsy to see who they hire, but at the same time, I don't want them to ru****  I'm kind of expecting to see a hire by the end of this week though.  I don't think they can wait too long.

Well what a week. My ECU Pirates lost a heartbreaker to UCF on a last second Hail Mary. To coach Ruff, IT'S CALLED CLOCK MANAGEMENT. Regardless 8-4 isn't a bad season and at least we are bowling. Jan 3rd Birmingham Bowl against the Florida Gators (who we also play 1st game of 2015 season).

My scale has been on crack this week, not sure to believe it, but here are the numbers.

Last Week: 415
