Surgery Tomorrow

James, I started wearing compression shirts in my pre-op diet and really enjoy them.  They feel a lot better than cotton undershirts.  As for the loose skin, they probably won't work as damaged skin (ie, stretch marks, scars, etc) will not bounce back.  I got into my head that loose skin is a great side effect of weight loss.  It is ridiculous how many people (mostly family) have asked me what I'm going to do with my loose skin before I even loose the weight.

That was why I asked about compression shirts. Family and friends were asking what I was going to do. I can't afford surgery and I am Ok with swapping loose skin for healthier weight.

Thank you.

I also hope everything went well!

I personally can't wait until I have the "problem" of loose skin.  I started using a compression shirt before surgery, because I was getting a rash from swing my arms while walking.  I don't wear it under my normal clothes, but I could definitely see me doing that once I drop another 50+ pounds.  I've read where a lot of guys do that, and it helps them.

Thanks everyone. I am home now. My doctor kept me an extra day because of my BMI being over 60. He also fixed my hiatal hernia. My stomach grew into my esophagus. I think I am now dealing with the gas. Have been walking but when I take deep breaths my left side hurts and my shoulders hurt. My wife went to get my pain meds.
