Sunday Weigh In - Universe back in harmony

This week:  176.0

Wroops!  WRONG WAY!

Had couple of episodes of light headedness doing yard work yesterday.  Not sure if it was dehydration raising it's ugly head or I just needed to take a nap.  The nap seemed to have "cured" me and I was able to finish.

Okay with events of the last couple of weeks I have not gotten to mention the harmonious realignment of the Universe.  The NFL training camps are in full swing meaning football season is upon us!!!!  As is their norm the local media are making mountains from molehills on every thing going on in Oxnard, CA with the Cowboys.  If they go better than 8-8 it would be an improvement!  How is your team looking?

Have a great week!

I could have done a lot better, but I'm still struggling with my nightime demons. I'm not sure where to go, or how to minimize them, but I'm not giving up. Had a pretty good week of excersize, and my meals were pretty healthy. I need to figure out how to do a better job with vitamins. When I'm at the plant, or traveling, I have a good system. When I'm at home, and just try to remember, I struggle a little bit forgetting. As simple as it sounds, I can't get my head around doing teh same thing at home as I do when I travel, but I'll get there.

@don 1962 - My team is the Lions, so I aspire to root for a team that goes 8-8 and sometimes is in the playoff/superbowl discussion. My favorite time of year is draft time, because that's when the year is still full of hope. Oh well, at least I can't be called a fair weather fan :)

@Don, hard to believe the NFL regular season kicks off in 5 short weeks.  My hope is that the Falcons can have a winning season this year.

@John, I use a medication organizer even when I’m home to help keep me on track.

    My stats this week:

           High weight:  392.0 lbs
Pre-op Weight 4 Aug 09:  377.5 lbs
      1st Surgiversary:  241.0 lbs
      2nd Surgiversary:  212.5 lbs
      3rd Surgiversary:  217.0 lbs
      4th Surgiversary:  214.0 lbs
Last week:  225.4 lbs / 21.1% body fat / 169.2 lbs muscle mass
This week:  223.4 lbs / 21.3% body fat / 167.4 lbs muscle mass

This week I’m down 2 lbs overall but have decreased muscle mass by 1.8 lbs.  This past week I made it to the gym on 4 days (2 days cardio & 2 days Physioslow strength).  Though on the road this past week, I did well mindfully eating.  I was able to pack my lunch and focus on protein rich options for breakfast and dinner.

Be safe & have a great week gentlemen!

-Mike

Hello man I just looked at the last time I posted and it was back in June. Sometimes life gets in the way or at least gives me excuses not to post. So the last post I did I was at 3436.3 It is now 6 weeks later and I am at 222.4 I went 3 weeks without the scale moving but have averaged 2.3 lbs a week over the last 6 weeks. Weight loss has slowed but I am still doing better than I could have with out surgery and making progress. My 6 month follow up is coming up in the beginning of Sept. My doctors goal for me originally was 218. I am hoping to have that met at the 6 month.

Football it definitely back and being from MA. I am Patriots fan. Around here anything less then a super bowl appearance is a disappointment. That being said I am old enough to have gone through 80's and 90's and I am grateful for the fact that they have a shot to win any team they play.

Have a great week everyone

Great job Kevin. I remember the first few weeks after surgery when I was losing 1 1/4# a day. Nowadays I am losing 1 1/2 to 2 1/2# a a week. Like you said, it's great just to keep losing. Keep up the great work.
