Last week:  175.2

This week:  175.2

Life got in the way of any exercising this week after Monday.  Calendar is looking better for that this week.  Held my own with the granddaughters at the water park yesterday.  Feeling it this morning.  One observation from yesterday - still plenty of work in East Texas for bariatric and plastic surgeons!

Have a Great Week!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Good Week in terms of eating. Out of 7 days did well 5 of the 7...not so much on the other two. Still, I have been trying to stick to fruits, veggies and protein at all meals. Happy w/ that as it is progress not perfection with this journey!!

Good Week for exercise, did a traditional boxing class, couple spin classes and a couple days running. Goal of an hour a day is getting it done!

Vitamins and water also good on that front.

Have a great week!

Bill Mac

I'm very happy with the results this week. I did a better job staying away from snacks, but wasn't perfect. I had a very good week of excersize (6 of 7 days) and had a good week of mindful eating. @billmacc7 - Thank you for the motivation this week.

1) Vitamins - I got them all in, and well spaced. I take Calcium in the morning with coffee/tea, and my multivitamins at night away from the cacium and tea. I occasionally take an extra B12 in the morning, and have been taking extra iron every night. Check

2) Water Intake - I was able to get 8 - 14 glasses a day. I averaged 10 - 12 a day most days. Check

3) Mindful Eating - I ate out ALOT this week. I found out that even though Indian Food is vegetarian, its crazy high in fat. My two biggest issues are a: Snacking, although I did do better and b: I did partake in some fried appetizers. Overall I am going to give myself a check minus

4) Daily Excersize - I got some pretty good workouts in and was able to build my steps to about 13,000 a day. Check

I am in Tampa all week, followed by a week of vacation.  I wont check in for two weeks. Although I expect some food and excersize issues, I will keep these four items in mond every day.

Have a happy and safe week all.

John

@Don, sorry I didn’t make the check-in last week – life got in the way & I just didn’t make it happen.

@Bill Mac, way to cross-train!

@John, like momma used to say “if it has enough fat or sugar in it, it’s bound to taste good!”

    My stats this week:

           High weight:  392.0 lbs
Pre-op Weight 4 Aug 09:  377.5 lbs
      1st Surgiversary:  241.0 lbs
      2nd Surgiversary:  212.5 lbs
      3rd Surgiversary:  217.0 lbs
      4th Surgiversary:  214.0 lbs
Last week:  227.2 lbs / 22.2% body fat / 168.0 lbs muscle mass
This week:  228.4 lbs / 19.9% body fat / 174.0 lbs muscle mass

This week I’m up 1.2 lbs overall but have increased muscle mass by 6.0 lbs.  This past week I made it to the gym on 5 days (3 days cardio & 2 days Physioslow strength).  I did well mindfully eating.  I’ve seen a major uptick in overall weight (6 lbs) over the past three weeks but is due to increased muscle mass.  During my staycation over the week of the 4th, I didn’t make it to the gym but I ran 3 different 5Ks and did a bit of yard work by hand-digging up tree stumps and roots.

Be safe & have a great week gentlemen!

Hi all,

Overall I had a great week of exercise and activity.  Lots of walking, lots of treadmill time, keeping busy overall and even did some strength training every other day.  I had not done sit ups in a couple of years and boy are my abs sore.

My portion sizes are still right where they are supposed to be, however, snacking and candy are still getting the best of me.  I really wish I was one of those people who dumped from sugar.  That would make it so much easier to say no.  I am making a better effort this week to get back on my plan and to avoid the simple carbs.  I want to lose a few more pounds before I head up to scout camp next week with my boys.

Have a great week,

Mike
