Sunday Weigh In
Last Week: 175.2
This week: 176.0
Little different look this morning. As a long timer I figure it gets boring for newbies to read all the old data from last six years. Yes, it shows how well I've done in maintenance over the years but getting old. Like me.
My two weeks of freedom end Tuesday afternoon/evening when I pick up the Mrs. at DFW airport. Ready to see her but going the time of day I'm going there is NO way of getting there that I'm not going to wind up in traffic. Given the choice between a root canal, a kick in the nuts or driving in Dallas traffic I think the root canal would be the best of the three choices with the kick in the nuts a close second.
Ate right for the most part while she has been gone. Dude foods and crock pot cooking. Have been out a couple of times to get shrimp or fish. Treadmill time this week has been nil. Maybe twice in the last week. Have been getting hammered at work keeping me from either having the time or energy to get on the contraption. Rain, or lack there of, permitting will substitute yard work today for treadmill. Need to do some inside domestic dooty as well. I cheated this week and had a "rent-a-teen" come to the house and clean but not do the laundry. Man's work is never done.
Have a Great Week gents!

I had a really good week going until a few days ago. On Wednesday I was actually at 226.6, but I think a combination of salty foods, and some snack struggles caught up with me. I'll still take the progress though. I spent quite a bit of time at the gym, including both cardio and strength training. This week will be a bit tougher.
This week I am refocusing. GBTTD as my high school math teacher used to say. "Go Back To The Definition". Although for the most part, I don't think I ate too much, I had my bariatric doc in the back of my head saying all I really need to watch for is food volume. Unfortunatly that doesn't always work for me. I ended up with too much salt, fried food and a few bites of dessert. This week, I am focusing on lean protien with some fruits and veggies. No crap food. Its going to be tough becasue I'll be traveling either on buisiness or vacation every day but Thursday (Green Bay, Chicago and Duluth Mn). My perception is that these places are not diet friendly, but I'm pretty determined right now.
I hope everyine has a great and successsful week.

Goal 195
I missed posting last week life has been busy. The scale was stubborn most of this week. It has been a bad week with getting my protein and fluids but I went shopping and got myself set up to be more successful this week. Still not hitting the gym as much as I should but I am working on improving that.
Have a great week everyone!
@Don, I hate driving to the ATL airport for the same reason.
@John, if I eat a bag of microwave popcorn, I can almost predict a 1 lb gain the next couple of days retaining water due to the salt.
@Kevin, you’ve got the plan for success – “just do it”! (BTW, a 4.3 lbs week loss is awesome!)
My stats this week:
High weight: 392.0 lbs
Pre-op Weight 4 Aug 09: 377.5 lbs
1st Surgiversary: 241.0 lbs
2nd Surgiversary: 212.5 lbs
3rd Surgiversary: 217.0 lbs
4th Surgiversary: 214.0 lbs
Last week: 223.0 lbs / 21.6% body fat / 166.2 lbs muscle mass
This week: 222.6 lbs / 21.0% body fat / 167.2 lbs muscle mass
This week I’m down 0.4 lbs overall with 1 lb increased muscle mass. I made it to the gym on 5 days (3 days cardio & 2 days Physioslow strength). I did well mindfully eating. It feels good to be back in my routine.
Be safe & have a great week gentlemen!

Yeah, the airport is the southern-most MARTA station. Politicians have talked for the past 20 years of building a light rail line between Macon and the airport, but the money has never been a priority. I live 102 miles from the airport and have to leave the house at least 4.5 hours before my flight in order to make it through all of the traffic.

Mileage wise that is about what I'm looking at and if you are allowing for an elongated wait going through "Check point Charley" four hours is what I allow going out. All depends on the time of day. Partial to going early morning as in pre dawn. Tomorrow I'll be okay till I hit Dallas County. Screwed any which way I go. There is construction on the North end of LBJ (Loop 635) and in the evening going to DFW that way will be bumper to bumper. No construction to contend with going through downtown to Irving but it'll be bumper to bumper all the way to DFW. Already told DW she can sit and do Sudoku puzzles till I get there.
