Apparently I've been living right!

We had a first ever car show in my little town yesterday as part of a fund raiser for a local veteran's memorial project.  While I'm not much of a knuckle buster (mechanic) I can appreciate what it took to get some of them to the quality of work displayed.  Yes, I had lust in my heart but not enough in the bank to make any offers to any of the owners.

Little reminder:

Have a Great Week!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

254.6 This morning

Don I am right there with you a lot of older cars I would love to have but the bank account says differently. Not a bad week this week. Getting the lunch in at work has been a little more difficult than I anticipated but I will get it figured out. My calories are still lower than the need to be but I am working on it.

I have my 3 month check up this week (actually a week early due to insurance changing). It is time for an EKG, full blood work and all the fun stuff. At least this is the last appointment until after summer is over.

Have a great week everyone.

@Don, good job!

@Kevin, great progress, keep it up!

    My stats this week:

           High weight:  392.0 lbs
Pre-op Weight 4 Aug 09:  377.5 lbs
      1st Surgiversary:  241.0 lbs
      2nd Surgiversary:  212.5 lbs
      3rd Surgiversary:  217.0 lbs
      4th Surgiversary:  214.0 lbs
Last week:  223.0 lbs / 21.3% body fat / 167.0 lbs muscle mass
This week:  221.6 lbs / 20.6% body fat / 167.4 lbs muscle mass

This week I’m down 1.4 lbs overall with 0.4 lbs increased muscle mass.  Back home from the road last week, I made it to the gym on 5 days (3 days cardio & 2 day Physioslow strength) and jogged a 5K around the neighborhood yesterday.  I did ok mindfully eating.

Back out on the road later this week to visit family and then next week for work.

Remember we live in the land of the free BECAUSE of the brave!

Be safe & have a great week gentlemen!

238.4:  Last week

236.6: CW (minus 1.6#)

180.0: Goal weight

Well, I finally did it. As of this week, I'm down 101#!!. It was tough week being on the road all week. I spent a lot of time in airports and all but one flight was seriously delayed. I learned that although the Skyclub is a comfortable place to wait in the airport, It’s way too much of a trigger for me to snack. I'm going to need to rethink using the skyclub anymore.

Due to the delayed flights, i was only able to get to the Gym twice while traveling (four times overall). I got some good strength training and cardio in. Because I spent the entire week on two different college campuses, I was able to get a lot of steps in. My total for 7 days is over 80,000 steps, which is very good for me. Working out in the hotel gym had one drawback, but I won’t hijack this thread with that story. I'll start a new one.

@Don - I hope when I get to my goal, I can do as well as you are. Its inspirational to me for sure

@kevin - Congratulations on the progress, its very exciting to see the weight fly off as fast as that.

@Mike - Like Don, you're an inspiration to me. I appreciate hearing how you are doing on the road because that was a big fear of mine. I travel 3 - 5 days/week and have some good days and some bad, but when I see your success while still traveling, I know I can be successful also.

Take care everyone. Have a great memorial weekend. This should be a weekend to relax and enjoy the unofficial start to summer, but as @Don points out, always remember why.

John

Being down 101 pounds rates in the "big ol' nasty stinky" range on the FART scale!  Now please go open a window!

150 Total Weight Loss

As always, I enjoy ALL for your posts. Every time I read them I realize I am not the only one on this Journey!

Well, a 5 pound gain and the alarm is sounding. I know what happened. Lost my best friend to cancer on Monday and turned to my old standby food to help me deal. It was without question my worst week post op in terms of eating. No food logging, drinking water, or exercise. Woke up today and felt disgusted! That being said decided to start anew TODAY!! I did the following: Ate and logged my food; tried to drink at least 32 oz of water; and did a 3 mile run.  Feel better as I know I have to continue to build from here....

Hope you all have a great week!!

Yours in WLS Journey,

Bill Mac
