Nothing exciting from here.  Too early of a morning after having to work late last night.  Had a "Dancing on the Bricks" street dance last night.  Music not bad but turn out not near as good as in October at the annual Cotton Harvest Festival.  Think having to pay admission turned a lot of folks away.  October's gig is a freebie.  The quinceanero, Mexican celebration of a girl's 16th birthday, going on at the ex-students association building sounded like it was a lot better party!  Earlier in the day there had been a Bar-B-Que cook off.  They knew better than to ask me to be a judge.  As much as I like the genre little dab will do me.

Have a Great Week and with warmer weather coming on HYDRATE!  HYDRATE!  HYDRATE!

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

This is the least I've lost since I started teh pre-op diet in September. Its OK, I worked out twice on my own and twice with a trainer last week. I probably ate more than I needed to in Tampa last week, but I am also pretty sure I'm building muscle mass as well so that will also stunt the ewight loss a little.

This week, I'm headed to Rolla Missouri and Hamiton Ontario. Five days on the road, and in places that are difficult to find good low cal things to eat. I think I am giong to pack some protein powder to mix with breakfast yogurt so I can skip fattier stuff. Lunch and dinner will be a challenge this week. AS far as activity, I got a good workout in today, but I can say that I hate Precor equipment, which seems to be in every hotel gym. I'll bring some bands to train with in my room, but I also need to figure out how to get a couple good workouts in somewhere.

Have a great week all.

150 Total Weight Loss

As always, I enjoy ALL for your posts. Every time I read them I realize I am not the only one on this Journey!

I had a 3 lb gain  this week. I think it was from an uptick in eating. Going into this week going to try to be more mindful in terms of eating.  Still struggling with  some of my old food demons get me like candy, cookies and chips. Some days are better than others, just gotta take it a day at a time....Over 3 years out realize that Maintenance is not easy!

On another note, doing a good job with vitamins and water. As weather gets warmer, water intake increasing which is a good thing!

Good week for exercise,was able to work out 6 out of 7 days. Combination of cardio and strength training. My biggest workout was a 10 Mile run today!

Hope you all have a great week!!

Yours in WLS Journey,

Bill Mac

LOL...Not only do my knees hurt, but my back does too! Still, feels great to be able to exercise so it was worth the pain!

I was pleasantly surprised when I got on the scale.  I am starting to see a trend with going to scout camp:  Chase after kids, avoid camp food, lose weight.  Maybe I will sign my kids up to go more often.

Have a great week everyone.

@Don, you could do like the wine judges – chew, swish, and spit!

@Kevin, great progress!

@John, not a fan of Precor either.  Four months post-op you’re probably overdue for a stall.  Strength training will minimize it.

@Bill Mac, if it were easy we’d done it long ago!

@Mike, good job!

    My stats this week:

           High weight:  392.0 lbs
Pre-op Weight 4 Aug 09:  377.5 lbs
      1st Surgiversary:  241.0 lbs
      2nd Surgiversary:  212.5 lbs
      3rd Surgiversary:  217.0 lbs
      4th Surgiversary:  214.0 lbs
             Last week:  222.8 lbs / 21.2% body fat / 166.8 lbs muscle mass
             This week:  223.0 lbs / 21.3% body fat / 167.0 lbs muscle mass

This week I’m pretty much status quo - up 0.2 lbs overall with 0.2 lbs increased muscle mass.  On the road last week, I made it to the hotel fitness center on 2 days.  I’d hoped to make it on 4 days but working late intervened.  I did ok mindfully eating.

Be safe & have a great week gentlemen!

-Mike
