Introduction
I am 4 weeks post op today. I am 36 years old and had surgery the day before my 36th birthday. Best and worst at the time birthday present in the world. I have been in a stall but may just may be getting out of it. A couple days ago I had the wife hide the scale as it seemed I wasn't losing weight and if anything I was gaining some. So she literally hid it. I have no clue where it is. I had her get it out last night and seemed to have lost 2 lbs. So maybe I am getting out of it. I had been eating lots of eggs and bananas and have stopped eating both of those foods. My new favorite is refried beans heated up in microwave with salsa and a small amount of ranch.
I had a few extra days stay in the hospital due to having severe pain while drinking and eating, but it seemed to be inflammation that just took time to go down. Stayed in for three days.
Highest weight: 555 lbs Summer of 2013
Surgery weight: 500 (3/21/14)
Current weight: 453 (4/17/14)
So it seems that you all weigh in on Sundays? Anyways let me know what is going on.
Big Poppa
Welcome to our little piece of OH!
Sunday is accountability day but if you can't get to the scales and OH till later in the week - it is what it is.
Questions, problems, rants, raves, etc throw 'em out and somebody can help you.
We have "FART"s here (Fantastic, Awesome, Remarkable, Terrific) moments. IE: fitting in smaller clothes rates a "FART". "Onederland", sub 200 lbs, is called reaching "Century City". Hang on for the ride of a lifetime!
Hi Big Poppa, you're off to a good start - that's a lot of weight to have lost so far - great work. Good luck to you!
