Too much going on last week to get much treadmill time in.  Had to play in the dark three night last week and had to use the daytime to tend to business and only used the contraption twice.  Made up for it on my days off by cleaning out my shop building and doing yard work.  Granddaughters here this weekend and their play room is the same room the treadmill is in.  Playing in the dark again this week so maybe tomorrow before work.

Have a Great Week!

311.3:  Surgery day 1/16/14
252.4:  CW (1.6# lost this week)
180.0: Goal weight

I kind of disappointed in the result this week. Sure, when I look back at my food log, I could have shaved 1200 calories over the whole week, but I was using about 3100 - 3300 calories a day with all the activity I got. Oh well, my will is stronger than my bodies. The weight loss will resume sooner or later.

In the meantime, I've been pretty good about getting to the gym. I got 4 pretty good workouts in last week. At one of the workouts, I got some personal training. I really start personal training in earnest this week with my normal trainer. I'm assuming that as I build muscle, the weight loss will slow down, but I'm OK with that. My time with the trainer this week showed how woefully weak I really am right now.

I'm on my way to Chicago today, but travel will slow down a lot after this trip. I'll be able to get a grip on my food and exercise for sure.

Have a great week everyone!

I am happy with the weight loss this week. I find that the beginning of the week when I work 16-18 hour days I loose nothing. The second half of the week when I go back to a normal schedule I start loosing again. I am guessing the lack of sleep is related but not sure. I have a few interviews coming up in the next week so hopefully I can improve the work life balance a little. I have hated the job for a long time but it served it's purpose as the insurance they had was good and covered my surgery which is the only reason I stayed.

Have a great week everyone

@Don, it is what it is – at least the scale is moving in the right direction!

@John, 3 months out you’re due for a stall, but I’d take a 1.6 lbs loss during a “stall” any day!

@Kevin, as you lose body mass so quickly, your body has to cope with how to break down, reuse, and shed excess cells.  Sleep, protein, H2O, vitamin/mineral supplements, and physical activity all play in how your body “reconstitutes” itself.  Depriving yourself of any one will affect your weight loss and potentially your health.

    My stats this week:

           High weight:  392.0 lbs
Pre-op Weight 4 Aug 09:  377.5 lbs
      1st Surgiversary:  241.0 lbs
      2nd Surgiversary:  212.5 lbs
      3rd Surgiversary:  217.0 lbs
      4th Surgiversary:  214.0 lbs
Last week:  222.2 lbs / 20.8% body fat / 167.4 lbs muscle mass
This week:  220.4 lbs / 20.4% body fat / 166.8 lbs muscle mass

This week I’m down 1.8 lbs overall with 0.6 lbs down muscle mass.  I made it to the gym on 5 days this past week with 3 days of cardio and 2 days of Physioslow strength training.  I did pretty well mindfully eating.

I’m headed back out on the road this week.  So, I’ll be out of my regular routine.  Hopefully, I can get to the hotel fitness center consistently and resist the carbs!

Be safe & have a great week gentlemen!

-Mike

Well, slight uptick in scale. Still, happy to be sub 200 as always!!

A good week w/ vitamins and water intake. Been trying to ensure I always have water with me to remember to drink it consistently!

Good week for exercise. Worked out 5 out of 7 days, couple days of spin classes and couple days of running. Also, getting back to do some strength training as well. Thankful to be able to exercise to keep my healthy efforts!

Have a great week!!

Yours in WLS Journey,

Bill Mac
