Not that I am a raving Texas Rangers fan but it is the start of baseball season.
Still in the red zone but I'll blame the up tick in lean muscle mass from yard work yesterday. Did the whole enchilada front, back, inside the fence, string trimming etc. Looks good but I'm feeling it.
Have a Great Week gentleman!
Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

259.4: CW (7.8# lost in 15 days)
180.0: Goal weight
Its been a rough three weeks. There was a 21 day stretch with only four nights in my own bed. Fortunatly that's behind me for now, and my scheduel going forward is a little easier. Still with all the travel since my last weigh in, I've been able to lose another 7.8#. I'm happy with that result!!
I've been reading lots of posts in various forums here and strongly beleive that the last 80# I need to lose, followed by maintaing that weight loss, will require more physical activity on my part. Excersize is a common theme I see with people who are successful with their weight loss and maintenence. My job is very sedentary, and eating out all the time is tough. I need to burn more calories. Today I am joining a gym, and this week I plan to figure out how to get some personal training. The 260's are in my rear view mirror, its time to tackle the 250s' and go to war with the rest of the 200's.
I hope everyone has a happy and safe week. Take care all.
I've got a fairly sedentary job as well. Lots of "glass" (as in a windshield) and ass time at a desk. Physical activity is a MAJOR component of losing and the maintaining. You don't have to become a gym rat or start training for a triathlon but movement as simple as walking is key. Thirty minutes or more lapping around the hotel/motel property would count toward exercise.
Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
Congrats on the loss in spite of the travel.
I can relate to your schedule - that is what late January until the end of February was like for me. Hotels and restaurants it gets tough but I've really enjoyed the challenge and I have to admit it's a lot easier to order a plate of food at a chain restaurant and leave 90% of it on the plate when I'm traveling on expense. LOL The wait staff always thinks I'm an upset customer, I just smile and tell them it was delicious but I just don't eat a lot of food. They still don't get it. Airports still remain the biggest challenge - sometimes with only 30 min layovers on long flights - trying to make the best choices when only McD's or Subway are the only options gets hard - but I've learned that there really are good choices to be made.
Good Post.. and yes Exercise is CRITICAL!! Along with food choices, vitamins and water. However, like you said many people *****ach goal and maintain have a common trait which is they do some form of exercise...it ultimately comes back to calories in and calories out!!

Thanks again for the thread Don. I've got to find a way to convert the focus of my gym time away from cardio, which is what I've done for years in my yo-yo attempts to lose weight and now I have to learn how to build muscle. I've gotten comments about how "frail" and "weak" I look from "concerned" people about my weight loss. Truth is I feel strong, great, my labs are all good - I just realize that under all that fat was zero muscle. Need a new game plan.
