Riding in the same range last several weeks so has 175 become my new "normal"?  Everything still fits like it should with no noticeable snugness and I've not had to let out my duty rig so guess I'm doing okay despite the what the contraption is displaying.

Speaking of "contraptions" the Mrs. got her new vehicle a couple of weeks ago and I got my new toy Friday!

Oh Yeah!  I looked like I was driving drunk the first thirty minutes I was on it but once I got a better feel for it no blade of grass or weed was safe till I parked it after a couple of hours.  Going to have more fun with it later today.

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Well I needed to find a place to keep me accountable and keep track of weight loss progress and this looks like a good place for it. I had VSG on 3/10 at Beth Israel in Boston. Everything went well and no complications up to this point

Thanks for keeping up this Sunday weigh-in Don.  I don't post a great deal, especially on the RNY site.  There are just a few too many "judges" there, however I do read and learn so much every day. I am one of those with very few problems so far.  I can eat pretty much anything in very small portions although I haven't tried to eat anything with sugar.  Fear of dumping (never experienced) and fear of not being able to stop if I try!  I am a recovering dessert addict. :)

I haven't tried to eat anything with sugar.  Fear of dumping (never experienced) and fear of not being able to stop if I try!  I am a recovering dessert addict. :)

Dumping can scare the crap out of you till you know what is going on.  I tend to get a "carb coma" and want to take a siesta more than dump per se but when it hits and you get the palpitations, sweats etc. you know it.  Where is the next DA (desserts anonymous) meeting?

The Numbers:
346: All time high 7/1/10 - BMI = 52
326: Tufts Medical Center, Surgery 12/27/10 BMI=49
196: Weigh In 3/16/14

194: This Week 3/23/14 -->2 lb loss BMI=29

150 Total Weight Loss

OK, happy w/ the number on the scale. Down from 196 to 194.  Big thing for me in my mind is to keep it under 200, even if it is 199.9

In terms of other things, good on the vitamins, but still tryint to improve on water intake. Prefer other things like coffee and tea, but know I got to get that H2o in!

Good week for exercise. Worked out 5 out of 7 days, couple days of spin classes and couple days of running. Hoping for better weather SOON so I can do more outside!!

Have a great week!!

Bill Mac

Ya’ll up in New England be sure to batten down the hatches since I hear a pretty bad nor’easter is headed your way this week.

@Don, sweet ride!

@Kevin, welcome!

@takingcontrolguy, I don’t dump but like Don tend to have a “carb coma” when I partake of sugar.  Only about 40% of RNYers dump.

@Bill Mac, great progress!

    My stats this week:

           High weight:  392.0 lbs
Pre-op Weight 4 Aug 09:  377.5 lbs
      1st Surgiversary:  241.0 lbs
      2nd Surgiversary:  212.5 lbs
      3rd Surgiversary:  217.0 lbs
      4th Surgiversary:  214.0 lbs
             Last week:  222.0 lbs / 19.8% body fat / 169.4 lbs muscle mass
             This week:  219.6 lbs / 21.2% body fat / 164.6 lbs muscle mass

The scale continues to move in the right direction.  I’m down 2.4 lbs overall, but down 4.8 lbs muscle mass.  I made it to the gym for 5 days of cardio last week and did pretty well mindfully eating.  Being back home in my regular routine has helped a lot, but I head back out on the road again this week.

Be safe & have a great week gentlemen!

-Mike
