Just some general info...I believe this is correct. I've been on these board for over 7 years and have attended many support group meetings...Heard a lot, but am no expert. The sleeve works best with younger healthier people who have about 60-100 pounds to lose (in general). The nice thing about the sleeve is if it's not successful, you can always move to the RNY later in life. RNY is used for older men and woman who have a large amount of weight to lose. Usually there are other medical issues that need to be resolved at the same time; high blood pressure, sleep apnea, bad lipid panal numbers, heart disease, that need to be delt with quickly...Your life (and lifespan) depends on it. There is a reason your doctor recommends the RNY...You may not see it now, but later in a few years you will. Acid reflux may be another reason...Brian
