Last Weigh In of 2013
Last week: 172.8
This week: 172.8
End of 2012: 169.8
The homemade cookies did not cause me to balloon up! Hopefully will still be in good shape after Saturday since that is when we are doing the big dinner thing with the kids, grandkids et al. Maybe call for some extra time on the tread mill in preparation. Three pounds difference between this time last year and today. I'm still within tolerances and still below what I call "top in" at 175. Continuing to follow the rules of the pouch, for the most part, and exercising on a regular basis pays off.
Cowboys play the Eagles tonight sans Tony Romo. Maybe next year we'll make the playoffs.
Happy New Year!

Down a lb this week. Weight loss has slowed way down since June. I'm guessing my body i****ting the breaks on me and is going to be in stall city for a while. I too had a few
homemade cookies these past couple of weeks and managed not to put any weight back on. I'm still about 42 lbs away from doc's goal for me and 62 lb way from my personal goal. I did 7 miles today and yesterday on the treadmill will be doing kettle bell work out later today. I will try my best to work out 5 times a week with long runs on the weekend. Lots of steam room and hot tub time afterwards at the gym.
I'm crossing my fingers the SeaHawks can make it to the big game and win this time. It is going to be a long few weeks of playoffs.
Have a Safe and Happy New Year
Early out it is common for the pounds to come off rapidly and then losing slows dramatically. I blew through my first 100 in under 90 days. The other 60 took several months. Gives your body a chance to catch up to itself. Chance also to get your head around some of the things that are happening. It's weird but such is our lot.
Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Up 2 this week. Christmas is a wonderful season, but the food is overwhelming for me. No excuses, have to be accountable and realize today is a new day.
Exercise has been limited, again have to be accountable and start a new program TODAY.
I cannot speak for anyone else, but I love the holidays, but between he food and family stress, look forward to them ending as well!
In any event, Happy Happy to you all for whatever you celebrate!
Yours in WLS Journey,
Bill Mac
@Don, from your lips to God’s ears – may 2014 be a good year for the Cowboys and a lot better year for the Falcons!
@Shane, for me it took 8 months to lose the first 100 lbs and another 10 months to lose the next 60. At 18 months out I stopped losing altogether.
@Bill Mac, ditto for your Holiday remarks.
My stats this week:
High weight: 392 lbs
Pre-op Weight 4 Aug 09: 377.5 lbs
1st Surgiversary: 241.0 lbs
2nd Surgiversary: 212.5 lbs
3rd Surgiversary: 217.0 lbs
4th Surgiversary: 214.0 lbs
Last week: 224.2 lbs / 21.1% body fat / 168.4 lbs muscle mass
Last week: 229.2 lbs / 21.3% body fat / 171.6 lbs muscle mass
My back was still in recovery last week not allowing any gym time though I was able to go to WallyMart for a little post-Christmas shopping. With my son’s help this weekend, I was able to take down and pack away all of the Christmas decorations for another year. The back is getting a little better each day and I should be able to make it to the gym this week for some light workouts. As I’ve said before, getting old sucks!
Laying in the floor, watching the boob tube, and eating all of the Christmas goodies have taken its toll for a second week. I’m up 5 lbs overall this week for a total of 7.6 lbs overall over the past 2 weeks. I’m up another 3.2 lbs muscle mass for a total of 6.6 lbs muscle mass over the past 2 weeks. This week my goal is to get back on the straight and narrow.
Be sure to eat your black-eyed peas & hog jowls for good luck! Have a safe & Happy New Year gentlemen!
-Mike
