Sunday Weigh-In
I hope everything is copacetic with Don today. I’m kicking off the Sunday Weigh-In in his absence.
My stats this week:
High weight: 392 lbs
Pre-op Weight 4 Aug 09: 377.5 lbs
1st Surgiversary: 241.0 lbs
2nd Surgiversary: 212.5 lbs
3rd Surgiversary: 217.0 lbs
4th Surgiversary: 214.0 lbs
Last week: 221.6 lbs / 22.8% body fat / 162.8 lbs muscle mass
This week: 220.8 lbs / 21.9% body fat / 164.0 lbs muscle mass
I made it to the gym on 5 days this past week and did a better job mindfully eating. The numbers show it – down 0.8 lbs overall and up 1.2 lbs muscle mass. Just proves that when you work the program even 4+ years post-op, it works.
Yesterday, I took the family to a friend’s farm for a pig pickin’. We cooked a whole hog – everything but the oink. Good protein fo’ sho’. We took a 4 mile hike up a ridge and down to the crick to top off the day. Hope everyone up north and out west are ok with all of the winter storms.
Be safe & have a great week gentlemen!
-Mike

Down a couple this week after stalling last week. Hit the treadmill 4 times this week. My Hawks lost to the Niners today. I figured they were due to drop a game soon. Hopefully they will bounce back next weekend. Everyone stay safe and warm.. Mondays forecast for Fargo, is for a low of -9 high of 0.

What goes down, I guess goes up. Up one pound this week at 203. Not bad, however, I am not happy with my eating which has been poor at best. Really want to refocus my efforts in this area starting THIS WEEK!
Exercise is OK. Got to workout 3 days this week. Again, want to bump that up to at least 5 this week..
Have a Great week all!

Hey Mike,
Thanks for taking the reins in my absence. Had "grand pa" duty that snuck up on me this past weekend. Three year old's birthday party. No roller skating for yours truly. Maybe would have been good exercise but would hate to have broken something finding out!
True that on the porker protein! Had BBQ pork ribs for lunch before the party Saturday. May be a contributing factor to numbers being up. Walked 3x last week so must be some muscle mass build up in there as well. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
355 at the start of my journey, August 2011 (RNY surgery 9/21/11)
200.0 this morning on the scale! Weight has been trickling upwards the last two weeks since I started doing the 100 push up challenge. My running is down too so as much as I could wish this was all new / added muscle, I suspect the lower calorie burn is not helping.
The initial test for the 100 push up challenge, I was able to do 13 pushups.
The next test after week 2, I was able to do 28 push ups! (In a row)
Started Week 3 of the challenge this morning with sets of 14/18/14/14/23. I def can feel / tell a difference in my chest, shoulders and triceps and a bit in my core area as well.
Immediate goals for this week, to run Tues / Thursday and Satuday and continue with my push ups! Second goal, wife and I are trying to eat more protein / less crap...
