Good thing I did not have any money out on my three favorite teams yesterday.  Texas Tech, Miss. State or LSU.  I would not have lunch money for this week.  Cowboys and Saints play tonight.  Torn on that one.  Have affinity for both teams.  Guess I'll have to pull for whoever has the ball. kiss

Have a great week!

Back on track numbers moving down.

I faced a huge fear of mine Friday night and jogged on the indoor track at the gym. I was the slowest guy there and things giggled in places that don't normally do on the treadmill, but I did it and it's a start. Now on to trying weight machines out. Everybody have a great week.

Thanks

Shane

You were WAY WAY WAY....faster than everyone that was NOT running!!!  You can try putting a "compression" shirt on to keep the jiggling down to a minimum and then I put a regular loose fitting tshirt on over top.

The cheap shirts at walmart are fine, no reason to spend $$$ for Under Armor or other brand names yet.  You can just buy a size or two down from your current one and they will act as compression like if nothing else.

Congrats on facing the fear and hitting the track!

In 1918 at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month, the Great War came to an end.  In remembrance President Wilson proclaimed November 11, 1919 as “Armistice Day”.  It was not until a second World War that historians referred to the Great War as World War I.  In 1954, the holiday was re-designated to honor veterans of all wars and renamed “Veterans Day”.

My heartfelt THANKS to all who have served our nation past and present.  We live in the land of the FREE because of the BRAVE!

@Don, looks Alabama will win another national title.  Nick Sabin is a class act – even when he was at LSU!

@Shane, you accomplish more for your health by showing up for exercise and finishing than 84% of the U.S. population (Source:  BLS).  How “graceful” you look doing it doesn’t matter.  Also, to help with the jiggles check out compression underwear such as:

    My stats this week:

           High weight:  392 lbs
Pre-op Weight 4 Aug 09:  377.5 lbs
      1st Surgiversary:  241.0 lbs
      2nd Surgiversary:  212.5 lbs
      3rd Surgiversary:  217.0 lbs
      4th Surgiversary:  214.0 lbs
Last week:  218.6 lbs / 20.9% body fat / 164.6 lbs muscle mass
This week:  221.8 lbs / 20.8% body fat / 167.0 lbs muscle mass

I’m back up 3.2 lbs overall and up 2.4 lbs muscle mass this week.  I made it to the gym on 3 days (1 day cardio & 2 days Physioslow strength) last week and did a 5K yesterday.  On Monday I spent the day “purging” for a colonoscopy on Tuesday.  Oh the joy of being over 50.  So, no workout on those two days.  My Monday “purge workout” would normally have put me in a calorie deficit for the week but the wife baked like crazy on Thursday and Friday in preparation for our church bazaar and yard sale yesterday.  The “mistakes” were too tempting and I did partake.  I’ll do better this week.

Be safe & have a great week gentlemen!

355 on 8/1/11 when I started this journey, 9/21/11 was my RNY surgery date.

I have been in the 195 pound range for quite a while now.  I had reached this point early on, Oct 2012, and then slowly drifted up to 205-207 and finally nearly 210 and got mad!  I did a Whole30 program to reset my diet and dropped back to my current 195.  I have been there since April 2013.

Just got off a week long cruise where the avg person gains 7-10 pounds!  I was up to 196.8 when I weighed on Sunday morning, not too bad considering the food and lack of exercise!

After the Marathon on 10/26, my left leg was SHOT and took a bit of time off to recover.  I took a couple stretching classes on the cruise ship and finally ran again last Thursday!  I did a quick mile, 12 minutes and had no pain.

Headed back to the gym this week to start my "after marathon" routine which I have not fully defined yet.  But more cross training, body weight fitness routines and working on my 5k times!  (Goal is under 30 5k!)

One last note, I got my first ever Tat this weekend!!  My marathon tat!

I managed to told my own weight wise on cruise in Sept.  Yes, lots of food on board but not that impressed with it or really wanted any of it.  Nice ink.

The Numbers:
346: All time high 7/1/10 - BMI = 52
326: Tufts Medical Center, Surgery 12/27/10 BMI=49
200: Weigh In 11/3/13
202: This Week 11/10/13 -->2 lb up BMI=30

150:Total Weight Loss

Well what goes up must come down and vice versa I guess!! LOL...Still, 202 is good considering went to Washington DC to visit my oldest who is doing an internship and ate mindlessly for the most part due to lot of running around and sight seeing!!

No worries, back on schedule this week and going to add some more exercise and lower caloric intake as would like to get back under 200!!

Have a Great week all!

Yours in WLS Journey,

Bill Mac
