On day ten of my effort to lose the next 20 lbs by counting down the calories, over 12,000 calorie deficit so far, Scale is moving and I am happy with what I am seeing. Scale is actually leading the calculation based on calories and I also think I have burned more than what is showing. Just points out how this scientific process breaks down when you try to calculate exact numbers. Yesterday I did an awful lot fitting in both a 8 mile ride and a 4 mile walk. Not the norm but was interesting. I was pretty beat up afterwards. Trying to pus to be ready for a 5k in a few weeks.
Good luck everyone and have a good week!

Traveling and sticking to plan is doable. Denny's and IHOP's are very WLS friendly.
Most common, and really favorite eats on cruise, was a burger and fries from the pool side grill. Make a mini salad with lettuce and tomato and eat the patty, okay some of the fries, and toss the bun. Supper in the formal dining room was different story. Think best meal I had in there was lobster w/shrimp. Jan liked their mini filet mignons. Hard to get them to understand "burn it"! Not well done. Burnt. Had a great omelet cook whipping those out every morning. Coffee bar sucked. Not any where close to resembling a Starbucks.
Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
Ok mark this one up to traveling. Just went to a all you can eat "Hot Buffet" 12.95 includes full salad bar, NY strip Steak, Burgers and the best seasoned pork chops ever. LOL way to pick a place :) Go Oklahoma!
Water loaded first and actually made it out alive eating a good salad and 2 oz of steak plus 2 oz of Pork Chops. Amazing really they even had pity on me and gave a me a take out box.

Morning All,
Slow and steady drop in lbs again this week. Not huge numbers, but I'll take them. Nice job Chrispy keep up the good work. Don you are a inspiration us all, next you'll be free hand climbing El Capiton in Yosemite . I managed to jog for 65 minutes yesterday super slow pace though 20 minute miles I was burning up the track lol. I'll keep at it want to get down to somewhere between a 9 to 12 minute miles.

@Don, welcome back! Looks like you had the time of your life while maintaining on a cruise!
@Tom, you could be heading into a stall. Just keep working the program. You shouldn’t hit maintenance until post-op 18 mos.
@Daniel, awesome job! You’re definitely in maintenance now. You’ll need to be there for a couple of years before considering PS. Good luck with PCH!
@Crispy, way to go! Keep an eye on your protein intake. With caloric restriction and increased activity, you will need to up your protein to keep your metabolism up.
@Shane, 90+ lbs in 3 months – EXCELLENT! Steady progress is the way to go. Slowly increasing your pace will get you to a 12 min mile before you know it.
My stats this week:
High weight: 392 lbs
Pre-op Weight 4 Aug 09: 377.5 lbs
1st Surgiversary: 241.0 lbs
2nd Surgiversary: 212.5 lbs
3rd Surgiversary: 217.0 lbs
4th Surgiversary: 214.0 lbs
Last week: 219.2 lbs / 19.9% body fat / 167.0 lbs muscle mass
This week: 219.2 lbs / 20.5% body fat / 165.8 lbs muscle mass
Overall weight this week is status quo. I made it to the gym on 4 days (2 days cardio & 2 days Physioslow strength) and jogged 5K yesterday. I did pretty well mindfully eating during the week.
My Vols are 3-2 so far and face off against Georgia next Saturday. Two very good QBs (Worley vs. Murray) face off but I just hope TN defense can hold the Dawgs to a reasonable score. The Falcons (1-2) play the Patriots (3-0) tonight. Atlanta’s record doesn’t reflect how close their two loses were against tough teams. Should be a good game.
Next weekend I will be in Anaheim, CA at the OH conference. I will post my numbers when I get back home on Tuesday.
Be safe & have a great week gentlemen!
-Mike
