Digits are what they are. Muscle mass increase from doing stuff around house yesterday. That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
See where Tim Tebow has employment issues again.
In the spirit of Labor Day: What was your first and what is/was your most favorite jobs? If you want to throw in the worst of the lot that's fine too.
My first was cleaning up around new house construction and doing other labors for the developer of the subdivision we lived in when I was in HS. Hard to decide the worst. It was not so much the work but the Chief's I was working for in a couple of places. Say the favorite is the gig I'm on now. And for the same reason - decent Chief and I have lots of autonomy.
Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

Really shocked! i just put up the weight for this week and i must be getting old. ive been really focused on some work issues so I didnt even think I was losing this week. Even though I track daily lol. some challenges this week with food, got out of sync and found myself going to long without eating. Took of from day off from exercise but on two days increase my miles to 5 and on a third upped my speed to run 10 minutes out of 20 instead of 10 out of 30. Feeling good about a 3-4 lb loss this week. focusing on the 240, which marks 200 lbs lost for me!
For first jobs if you don't count paperboy I'd say Do Groomer for my sister was the first. Best Job by far my current one in business technology support. It's like having my own business but pays better.
Good luck everyone and have a good week!

Not good. Simply stated, I have not done any type of exercise and having not been mindfully eating over the last 2-3 weeks. Still, I know what to do: Start drinking 64oz of water DAILY; Log Food and keep calories to 1800 or less; and EXERCISE at least 5 times per week. Have to admit pretty bummed as I do not want to start down a slippery slope of regain, but still I need to keep in mind that this is a Marathon, not a journey!
In terms of work, my first job was working in a warehouse, bull work at it's finest. My worst job....oohh so many to choose from but would have to say working in a factory making stuffed animals! My best is my current work, being a High School History teacher.
Have a great week all!
Yours in WLS Journey,
Bill Mac
Pre-op weight: 520 lbs
Last Week: 288 lbs
This Week 288 lbs
Favorite job? Well, though I've had many employers, I've been doing the same thing for 24 years so I must enjoy it: I'm an agronomist selling crop inputs to farmers. However, now that I've lost all this weight I'm thinking of becoming either an astronaut or rock star.

@Don, my first job was working in the family restaurant as a teenager. Worst job was working at age 16 my first job outside the family business during the summer on a city garbage truck though it motivated me to get a college education. Best job is the one I’ve had for the past 31 years – working as an engineer for the U.S. Air Force.
@Crispy, excellent progress!
@Shane, WTG!
@Bill Mac, you know it – it’s a marathon and not a sprint!
@Tom, with new-found health anything is possible!
My stats this week:
High weight: 392 lbs
Pre-op Weight 4 Aug 09: 377.5 lbs
1st Surgiversary: 241.0 lbs
2nd Surgiversary: 212.5 lbs
3rd Surgiversary: 217.0 lbs
4th Surgiversary: 214.0 lbs
Last week: 214.6 lbs / 20.7% body fat / 161.8 lbs muscle mass
This week: 215.8 lbs / 20.2% body fat / 163.8 lbs muscle mass
I’m back up 1.2 lbs overall this week but also up 2.0 lbs muscle mass. On the road this past week, I made it to the hotel fitness center on 3 days (2 days cardio & 1 day Physioslow strength) and did pretty well mindfully eating during the week.
I have out of town family visiting for the holiday weekend. So, I’ll have to be careful eating.
Be safe & have a great week gentlemen!

Understand about the "motivation" factor in a job. Mine was digging ditches and pulling concrete in Houston during the Summer of 1980 - hottest on record in Texas.

355 8/1/11, RNY surgery on 9/21
Hovering around mid to low 190s but away from home for a week and forgot to weigh this morning!!
We visited DC for the weekend, and I got to go run "the Mall" which was really a neat experience. I ran by the Washington Monument, WW2 monument, Reflecting pool, Vietnam memorial, Lincoln, Jefferson, back to mall park, up to Capitol bldg and back to the motel. 6.66 miles, 1:18, 11:45 mile pace.
First real job was retail, Baskin Robbins... (Did a bit of cleaning/vacuuming cars before that which was a trip to move cars with ZERO drivers ed training or license at age 14!!)
Best job... cannot say I really disliked anything I did including hanging drywall in college one summer, but on the flip side, if I was wealthy, or a trust fund kid I would not do any of them either?! In my current job, Accounting, I really enjoy the "new" work when it comes in, anything that is a fresh challenge instead of the same old, same old.
