Did awesome this week with exercise, keeping it varied (Walked, Kayak, Weights). Also continued training for a 5K in October. Following the couch to 5k plan posted earlier. Up to 10 minutes running out of 30 now. 10 mminutes hill climbing and 10 minutes walking. Not so good on the nutrition. Definitely had some struggles with robo eating and drinking alchohol. Lots of activity at work where I felt like I needed to entertain after work with people coming in from out of town. Had a great 30 year high scholl reunion over the weekend. Pretty sure I would not have gone pre-surgery. Lost a wee bit this week overall, but know my water weight is also up. Very exciting to see the weight relatively stready. Good luck everyone and have a good week!

195ish is my new normal BUT... that appears to be creeping downward with the added running/training. It was mostly 193-194 last week, and just 190.x this morning AFTER my run. (Always down a bit after run, sweat equity literally, ha!)
I have been focusing more on my diet, trying to UP my "Diet Quality" and replace bad foods with good versions of the same thing. Actually eating a lot more Carbs to match my endurance training (Read a new book, Race Weight by Matt Fitzgerald) and that actually could be spurring on the weight loss!?
The marathon is last weekend of October and my last run 2 weeks ago I hit the wall at 13.x miles. That was with ZERO fuel and very little hydration and running pretty much full on race speed.
This weekend based on some advice and testing, I REALLY backed off on my speed, down to 12-13 minute miles, to conserve energy. Also was very consistent in my run / walk strategy of running 2 minutes, walk 1 minute.
My run on Saturday I also added some hydration and FUEL (food) on the run, with a bag of NUT-rition at mile 5 and then a couple swedish fish each mile after. Water at mile 11...
So, the end result... I put in 16.5 miles in 3:21, my avg mile pace was 12:15 (I actualy sped up the last 3-4 miles to my usual 10-11 minute miles) Love the ENDOMONDO tracking!
September I should get in two more LONG runs, hoping for 18-20+ miles by the last one and then a taper down in October before the big race!!
