What do you buy at Costco...??
Yeah, way way way off the subject. But since the board has been quiet, I thought I'd ask you guys. Didn't want to ask the women. Sometimes men have a different prospective. I was a Costco member for years as my kids were growing up. We ended up dropping the membership since our kids grew up and left the roost. Just my wife and me. I have my house, a small farm we lease out, and 2 rental. I thought I would join again. But after a few months I am finding (besides the free samples and the polish dog/ pepsi combo) there is not a lot of things I need in bulk. Or I can find a ton of stuff at the dollar store type places or at Walmart/Target. Soooo...What justifies your $55. per year membership?? If you have a business...Yes, it makes sense. Just don't know if I'll recoup my money over the year...PS Don't eat carbs....That will keep it back on subject...
I was in the same scenario and thought about dropping them. But I signed up with an executive membership and have the Costco / American express card that I use there, I get 2 rebates per year and the both them more than covers the membership cost. I have the room to buy non perishables in bulk so I do save a chunk of change that way also.

If substituting Sam's for Costco is permissible there are several things that I will get in bulk. Toilet paper, paper towels and paper plates are 1,2 and 3. Water or G2 if they have a flavor I want to drink for an extended period of time. Liquid laundry detergent, boxes of trash bags, Equal sweetener and K-cups are brought home fairly regularly too. Since it is 50+ miles to Sam's it is quite often that I will pick up various and different things that folks ask me to when they find out I'm going.
Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
^^^^ That is my shopping list at the "Wholesale Club"- lets be generic [generic, see there I made a funny]. Also my vitamins and calcium supplement come from there. Bananas, meat, shredded cheese, bag salad, sliced cheese... Lots of things... The rebate more than pays for the membership. Heck I even bought the wife a giant TV there (which promptly quit working a day later= those things are a ***** to move). In short, couldn't get by without it.
Hug your kids every day, let them know they are loved, keep them safe the best you can.
