Howdy Men!

I hope today finds you all happy and healthy.

First day of pleasant weather here in the East, I am headed to the Cape for some fun in the sun. I am up 2 this week... don't even know why. I had 2 days of intense workouts and have stayed on track with my eating... Maybe this 180/ 182 is where I am supposed to be?

See you all next week!

Brian

Wait a damn fool minute!  Same scales showed me at 170.2 yesterday morning!  Blame it on muscle build up from yard work yesterday.  Did not get it all finished.  Riding mower kept laying down on me.  Called one of the local lawn service guys to fini**** this week.

Once again the Universe is back in harmony - the NFL teams are back at training camp!!  I don't know if the Cowboys are going to be worth a crap this year or not but everybody is optimistic in Oxnard.

Missed weigh in the last few weeks. Happy that I am still at Onderland. I had gotten into a habit of only weighing once a week but have decided to weigh daily. It is interesting as my weight can fluctuate up and down by 2-3 pounds through the week but I generally end up in the 195-200 pound range. Being that I began this journey at 350, I am VERY HAPPY with the scale numbers!

Eating is good/bad. Primarily I eat well during the day. However, at night after dinner been doing some grazing/snacking. It is not out of control, but I don't like the habit and want to work at curtailing it before it becomes a problem.

In terms of water and vitamins sticking to the program, so I am proud of that!

Exercised 3 times this week. Would love to do more but to say the least my plate is full right now with lot of things in my life. However, exercising 3 times is better than none!!

Have a great week All!

Yours in WLS Journey,

Bill Mac

355 was the high for me, August 2011, RNY Surgery in Sept 2011.

Hovering in the mid 190s for last couple of months.

Running 3x per week, this weekend was my LONG run, prepping for my first marathon.

Set some Personal Records including my first ever 1/2 marathon!!  According to Endomondo, I did 13.1 miles in 2:21:17.  All told I ended up running 14.21 miles in 2:36:32, 11:01 mile on avg.

I measured my blood sugar before and after to see how well my body is regulating my BSL and I was 109 before and 117 after the run.  On the hydration side, I went from 196 pounds before the run to 189.0 afterwards, losing 7 pounds!!  (Clothes were SOAKED as you can imagine.)

Rest day yesterday and then running again this morning, 39:32, 3.49 miles, 11:19 miles, so a bit slower than normal today, was tight.

@Brain, same deal - I’ll fluctuate +/- 3 lbs week to week for no apparent reason.  But, at least the long term trend has been steady.

@Don, too bad about Tyrone Crawford.  Hope that Garrett can survive the Jones’ bull-in-china-shop mentality.

@Bill Mac, I would love to be in onederland but it doesn’t seem to be in the cards for me.  At almost 4 yrs out I’ve settled in at 215-220 lbs maintenance.  But, I’m happy with that!

@Sam, awesome progress on your fitness!  You’re an inspiration.

    My stats this week:

           High weight:  392 lbs
Pre-op Weight 4 Aug 09:  377.5 lbs
Last week:  215.6 lbs / 20.3% body fat / 163.6 lbs muscle mass
This week:  217.0 lbs / 19.9% body fat / 165.4 lbs muscle mass

I’m up 1.4 lbs overall but up 1.8 lbs muscle mass as well.  While on the road, I made it to the hotel fitness center on 3 days last week and wasn’t too bad on the eating front.  Be it ever so humble there is no place like home – even if it is a construction site with the bath remodel.  We’re in the home stretch and should finish up tomorrow.

Be safe & have a great week gentlemen!

-Mike

Cowboys have had the same problem for the last 25 years - Jerry Jones.  Goes all the way back to the way he fired Tom Laundry.

Been away on vacation the last week or so. My family went to Ireland last week. While I did walk quite a bit, I also ate and drank a lot. LOL it was a lot of fun and definitely put a crimp in my loss plan . Today my weight has already dropped from water weight. So over all maybe a few pounds higher than my low. Now focusing on moving forward to my new goal of 240. Good luck all!
