Morning Men,
I hope today finds everyone happy and healthy. Now that we are into the middle of Summer and the holiday is over (in the US) we get to celebrate the 3 H's here in the East... Hazy, Hot and Humid, my least favorite time of year. Not like we can change it though so we soldier on.
Down 2 lbs this week due to a refocus on exercise and doing my best to cut the garbage out of my diet. 4 days of gym and only one night out where I over indulged. Looking to continue the trend and get back closer to my ATL.
See you in a week, hug your kids!
Brian
Hug your kids every day, let them know they are loved, keep them safe the best you can.

Mention the "3-H's" around a veteran nurse and to them it means "hang the enema bag as HIGH as you can, shove the hose in as HARD as you can and make the water as HOT as you can"!
Locally we have a break in the heat for a few days with the good possibility of catching some rain. BRING IT ON! Change in the weather usually brings on a change in people's attitude. People have been acting rather ignorant lately.
Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
Don I know what you mean on the ignorants. Sat night I went on a all night cat fishing run and an idiot I suspect that lives where I do, knived my tire in the dark. after day light, turned a 35 min drive into a 3 hour trip home. the under carriage rusted up spare was flat, then almost fell off my van after the rust freed up, then 35 miles hr to continue home, just to be safe.. horrible.
Good Morning Everyone,
Like so many of us, I have not left the forum but just really busy. 2 months ago our water softner flooded our basement. Way too much damage to describe and we are just now finishing the repairs.
Weight is hanging right at 165. High weight was 348 and RNY was January 2012. I feel I was one of the lucky ones who had it easy. Lets hope I can be feel as blessed in a few more years.
Have a great week and remember to eat slowly.
Daniel

I have been keeping myself busy as possible, with mowing the lawn and going fishing when I can, walking round and round the lake where I fish and if nothing else... drinking water often...
Glad to see everyone is doing so well. And yes, the heat and humidity here in east is something else, mid summer not my cup of tea either. See yas next week and take care
Rob
Busy busy, just finally got a moment to check in!!
Running like crazy now, twice during the week 35-40 minutes and then "long" runs on the weekend. (6ish miles on the low side and this weekend going for a new PR at 11 miles)
Weight creeped up a bit last week to hit 198 (daily weigher...) this morning, was 191.2 after my run (194.x before the run, yeah I sweat alot in that 40 minutes!)

@Brain, mine is August when it is not only 3H but 3H+G – hazy, hot, humid, and GNATS!
@Don, add a full moon & they’re downright lunatics (lunar)!
@Daniel, hope you recover from your basement “swimming pool” soon.
@Rob, excellent progress – keep it up!
@Sam, I’m starting to use the RWR method, but my knees and the heat really is limiting my progress. But, I’ll keep at it & hopefully over time I’ll see improvement.
My stats this week:
High weight: 392 lbs
Pre-op Weight 4 Aug 09: 377.5 lbs
Last week: 220.0 lbs / 20.0% body fat / 167.4 lbs muscle mass
This week: 215.6 lbs / 20.3% body fat / 163.6 lbs muscle mass
I’m down 4.4 lbs overall but down 3.8 lbs muscle mass as well. I made it to gym on 4 days last week, did well with mindful eating, and drank a lot of water. I’m starting to see a pattern that if I’m retaining water then not only is the overall weight higher but the muscle mass is higher probably due to the algorithms being thrown off by the lower impedance of the extra water. The manufacturer of the body composition scale that I have does state that the calculations can be off +/- 3% which would make the muscle mass +/- 5 lbs.
I’m on a business trip to Dayton this week and just now had a couple of minutes to check in. It’s amazing that it hotter and more humid here than back at home in middle GA. Crazy busy at work and home – we’re in the middle of a bathroom remodel.
Be safe & have a great week (at least what’s left of it) gentlemen!
-Mike
