Hi Men!

Thank so much for your thoughts and concern over the last 2 weeks, it means alot and I appreciate the support. I am back on track and my wife is doing OK so we move on now.

I am up a net of 1 lb., I had been way up last week and am back to working the plan. Looking forward to this heat in the East to break, nothing much else going on.

See you next week,

Brian

Wish the heat would "break" here.  I had crap I could do outside yesterday but opted to stay inside, take a couple of naps and suck up the AC!  Work last week was a mofo but got a lot done in the way of getting cases closed, getting stolen vehicles recovered and turds in jail.

Guess I'll have to fight the heat and make a Sam's, and Starbucks, run to Tyler. kiss

Y'all be careful.

Things are going well, had my 2-1/2 year follow up with my surgeon Tuesday. As I wrote in another post I am at my lowest post surgery weight. This is about where I stalled out after surgery. Seems like a Plateau for me. The scale is acting funny lol, really sticking to this weight over the last few days. Good luck all!

Rob,

Learning to eat post op can best be described as trial and error.  If a food does not sit well when you try it the first time set it aside and come back to it a few weeks later.  Even at five years out I still have flashbacks to early episodes with too dry of chicken. devil

Well not too bad to be at same weight as last week. this in spite of how my week went.  My eating in a word has SUCKED!! Way too many calories and carbs. Interesting, I find myself some what binge eating where I won't eat for too long, then eat a bunch in a short time. It is not an excuse, but I have a lot going on in my life right now, but it is no EXCUSE to eat unmindfully. Today was better. Had a protein shake for breakfast. For lunch some chicken. For dinner some  pasta  and salad. Daily struggles continue...

Exercise was ok. Able to exercise 4 out of 7 days.

Did well in terms of water and vitamins sticking to the program.

Overall, happy with my weight, but disappointed in eating habits and exercise. But today is a new day and the journey continues....

Have a great week All!

Yours in WLS Journey,

Bill Mac

@Brian, welcome back.

@Don, the heat & humidity here has been like Florida without the seabreeze.

@Crispy, keep it up!

@Rob, like Don said - keep working it.

@Bill Mac, I’m with you on the eating front this past week.  Eating & celebrating the 4th with too much BBQ & tater salad.

    My stats this week:

           High weight:  392 lbs
Pre-op Weight 4 Aug 09:  377.5 lbs
             Last week:  217.2 lbs / 19.5% body fat / 166.2 lbs muscle mass
             This week:  220.0 lbs / 20.0% body fat / 167.4 lbs muscle mass

This week I’m up another 2.8 lbs overall and up 1.2 lbs muscle mass.  I made it to the gym only 3 days this past week.  The gym has been closed since the 4th.  I need to do better with mindful eating this next week.

We’ve had rain everyday here in Middle Georgia over the past 10 days.  A Gulf low keeps pumping gulf moisture causing thunderboomers and over 6 inches of rain.  The running joke here is that the Ark is due to arrive any day now.

Be safe & have a great week gentlemen!

-Mike

355  8/1/11, Start of my program weight;  321 on 9/21/11, RNY Surgery Day

Hit Goal of 210 (or less) on 6/10/12 and since that point, dropped as low as 195 on 10/17/12 and as high as 205 earlier this spring.

Using the Whole30, (Paleo, Meat, Veggies and Fruit) diet I dropped from that 205 down to a new low of 189.8 on 6/3/13 and since that point I have ranged from 192-197 on any given day.

Current Diet, I really don't have a set plan I am following other than I try to eat Protein early and often but I also indulge in the 580 calorie Venti White Mocha at Starbucks and fight to stay away from the cookie jar here at the office.

Current Exercise:  Started CrossFit style workouts in March and do those 2-3x per week and Running now 3x per week training for my first marathon in October.

I feel great, and marvel every day at the things I can do that I never thought possible (and denied that I even "wanted" to be a runner, etc.)

Life is Good...Sam
