Hi Gents,
Welcome to Summer, going to be short this week as my wife and I lost another of our kids. Been busy the last couple days making arrangements and I am just plain exhausted. Michael was the youngest of my wife's 3 children from her previous marriage, he is the second to have passed in the last year. He turned 43 this past month and we will miss him a great deal. We are hanging in there and I will see you next week.
Brian
Hug your kids every day, let them know they are loved, keep them safe the best you can.

Good loss this week at 3.8 lbs. I mentioned I have my 2-1/2 year follow up with my surgeon July 2nd. Traveling this week to Texas (today) in Houston then Dallas/Fort Worth. Really worried about maintaining my progress. Going to have a big party when I reach my 1 year Surgiverary weight!! If I can do well this week I should be able to stay under 265 for the Dr. visit. looking to discuss setting my final loss goal on Body Fat vs. Weight. Meanwhile next goal is 240.Good luck all!

Slight uptick in the scale. Not too worried as I still like I did well overall in terms of eating, water, and exercise. Also, I changed my brand of vitamins, but still taking 2 Multivitamins; Iron; Sublingual B12; and Calcium Citrate.
My exercise was OK this week. Only got to run a couple times. Still, today was able to get out and do 3 miles and felt pretty good overall!.
@Brian-Sorry for your loss. My prayers and sympathies to your family.
Yours in WLS Journey,
Bill Mac
@Brain, so sorry to hear of your stepson’s passing. I cannot imagine the pain. We as parents are not supposed to bury our children. You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers in this trying time.
@Crispy, keep it up!
@Bill Mac, one week does not a trend make. You’re an inspiration!
My stats this week:
High weight: 392 lbs
Pre-op Weight 4 Aug 09: 377.5 lbs
Last week: 215.6 lbs / 20.3% body fat / 163.4 lbs muscle mass
This week: 212.8 lbs / 20.0% body fat / 162.0 lbs muscle mass
The old scale has me down another 2.8 lbs overall and down 1.4 lbs muscle mass. I made it to the gym on 4 days this past week. I did pretty well eating and getting the recommended grams of protein. We’re visiting relatives this week. So, exercise and eating will be a challenge, but I’ve committed to myself to not go “off the deep end”.
Be safe & have a great week gentlemen!
-Mike

Brian, my heart grieves for you my friend. We are not mentally prepared to outlive our children and I cannot imagine your sorrow. My prayers for you and yours.
My weight is about the same 195ish. My wife had HER RNY surgery last Wednesday, all went great. She learned from my experience and asked for the pain meds, EARLY and often.
Today is her first day alone at home, she is a bit nervous but doing well.
