Thought I would post this up to show folks what I have experienced with weight loss. I know it is different for everyone, but for me this confirms that the tool is intact and I can leverage it for some serious weightloss. Pre surgery I was on a strict Ketogenic diet from the NUT which I followed well. As you can see I averaged .48 lbs loss per day. The RNY figures are pretty interesting to me because I think it definitely show my increase of food intake. In my case the dropping of my weight loss and future weight gain corresponds to my increase of coffee with cream. Among other things. I simply did not believe in the "Maintenance Plan". Having come out of RNY with such loss I tink I thought I had a suit of armor and could do anything. I am happy to say that I DO have that armor but just not the way I thought. It comes in the frm of the tool. You can see at the bottom I have recorded what has happened since I began tto follow the Rules of the Pouch (ROP) including exercise. My weight loss in this period is a little higher, closer to 30 lbs, but I didnt have good data to show the averages. The most telling fact is that my loss during ROP is my second highest rate. Now that says something about the tool. I actually am experiencing loss at a little higher rate since I met with the NUT and balance my diet. I get my protein in every day and I range between 700-1000 calories. Note that I am working with my NUT and the Dr. office so this isnt me gettting the wild idea that I should be on a VLCD myself, instead this is me figuring out what my intake should be vs. BMR.This is because the 1200 cal maintenece diet is not one size fits all to start with. If I want to lose I need to figure out my BMR and eat less. General observation is the post ops need to eat in the 800 range to lose additional weight. I dont know if anyone else has experienced that? I also strive to burn at least half as many calories per day exercising as I intake. Sounds difficult, but I find that simply walking works.<br />

I have settled in around 225lb and am happy where I am at.  I have been incorporating more food to see where my cal intake leads me.  Thanks for your input and congrats on your success.
