The Numbers:
346: All time high 7/1/10 - BMI = 52
326: Tufts Medical Center, Surgery 12/27/10 BMI=49
196: Weigh In 5/19/13
199: This Week 5/27/13 -->Gain 3 lbss BMI=29
147:Total Weight Loss

Well, not surprised at the rise in the scale. Have to be honest my eating has been well shy of mindful!!  Many poor choices and alot of picking and grazing.   The gain is also attributable to a lack of exer**** Due to ankle injury have not been doing much over last week and a half using unlimited excuses.  OK-KISS (Keep it Simple Stupid) go back to the basics of mindful eating; water intake; vitamans and EXERCISE.  I have to remember this is a Marathon not a sprint....

Would welcome some support via butt kicking....I deserve it!

Let's keep this in CENTURY CITY my friend!!!  I am about to start another round of Whole30 this week, to support my wife during her 3 week pre-surgery diet.

Meat, Veggies and Fruit.  That is it, for 30 days.

NO sweetners, real OR artificial..  (It will reset your taste buds so that fruit is sweet again, flavors come out more...)

NO dairy (sigh, cheese or milk/latte)

Might be worth trying to see what you think!?

I am officially starting Wednesday, 5/29...

Thanks for the support Sam...I am unsure about the Whole30, but I had a better day today with better healthy choices.

Yeah, to each his own on WHAT diet to follow, but pick one and stick to it.

One of the interesting things I am reading about Paleo (a favorite of the CrossFit gang) is 100 % Paleo, 80% of the time!!

Thus allowing for a break / snacks every once in a while but a large majority of your intake is correct.

355 was my highest recorded (official) number on 8/1/2011.

321 on my RNY surgery day, Sept 21, 2011.

This weekend was approx 2 years from my decision to go for the WLS.  My wife and I went to Durham, NC to the Cheesecake Factory for our anniversary and I could not even walk down and through the mall afterwards, my knee was hurting so bad.

I attended a WLS seminar sometime later that month (June 2011) and you know the rest.

This weekend... we are preparing for my WIFE's RNY surgery.  We went out shopping at Goodwill, I picked up some more running gear (size Medium) and while we were out, we went hiking 1.7 miles on Saturday!

Yesterday, we went BACK to that mall in Durham, walked the ENTIRE thing...and then yes, we did eat/enjoy the CFactory again, splitting a burger and cheesecake.

So I went from not being able to walk the mall 2 years ago, to hiking, walking the mall, (eating CF) AND some other cardio/strength "exercise" that we will not go into further details on!  :)

Life sure is good fellas....

Sam
