Anyone?

I ran across something online this morning about an alternative bypass called,  Roca Labs gastric bypass. Anyone heard or have any input about this? here's a link:

I want you to post this on the Main, RNY, and VSG boards!!

I have several things to say and all are just my opinion:

• If it sounds too good to be true...
• The literature/site talks a lot about the risks and costs of surgery, but not much about the "Formula"
• I didn't see any stats on success of this on their site
• It's relatively new I assume and I wonder if anyone else on OH has heard or tried it
• How does that stuff stay in your stomach and not digest and if it does digest are there any side effects
• Is there any food that would just stay floating on top of this stuff and then what?
• What if you throw up?
• What is there record for weight loss and keeping it off?
• Is this a medical clinic that administers this with actual doctors?

A long time ago I once thought that if I could just swallow a balloon to take up room in my stomach that would be awesome. This is kind of the same principal in that it takes up room in your stomach. All my opinions/questions are mostly things that their doctors? could answer.

I know right?... Ok I posted on those boards...

Try doing a search on OH for ROCA and you will pull up a few other posts from the past. It looks like this stuff has actually been out for quite a while which makes me believe that if that is the case and there's not that much chatter about it on this site or the news that it's just another fad thing.

Sounds too good to be true.  Is it approved by the FDA?
