I am up 2.lbs but body fat is down so I'll take it as muscle mass... Eating has been pretty good, better than many weeks actually so Iv'e gone off the tracks there is no reason. Am taking my exercise in the form of yard work, ugh!

Well, not happy with the scale today. Actually, not happy with my eating lately.  Making a lot of poor choices and grazing. Need to commit to get back to basics: Water; Protein; Journaling. Do not want to let it get out of hand....as has been the case in the old days.

In terms of exercise, it was going well. I was able to get out and run 5 days. However, yesterday I was doing a run and injured my ankle pretty badly.  Today it is like a grapefruit.  I will have to take a break from running,  but I will try to do some other things to try to not get to sedentary.

 Hope everyone is doing well!

Yours in WLS Journey,

Bill Mac

Nothing exciting from here other than "Granddad" duty this weekend.  Took the girls to a Discovery Science Place in Tyler yesterday.  They had a blast!  Last night I slept like I had not slept in a long time!  May have time to catch a nap before we have to take them back to their rightful owners this afternoon.

Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!

@Brian, IMHO body fat is a better measure of overall health and 14% is outstanding.  Also, if you’ve been working hard in the yard, you may be a bit down in water weight due to dehydration and/or glycogen reserves.

@Mark, keep up the good work!

@Bill Mac, I hear ya’.  You def want to take it easy on the ankle.  The faster you recover the faster you can get back to your routine.  Just keep moving and working your upper body in the meantime.

@Don, awesome that through WLS we can enjoy “playing” with the youngins.

    My stats this week:

           High weight:  392 lbs
Pre-op Weight 4-Aug-09:  377.5 lbs
Last week:  218.6 lbs / 19.5% body fat / 167.4 lbs muscle mass
This week:  217.4 lbs / 20.0% body fat / 165.2 lbs muscle mass

My overall weight is down 1.2 lbs this week with muscle mass down 2.2 lbs.  I made it to gym on 4 days and to the bike trails on 1 day this past week.  I may have been a bit dehydrated when I weighed this morning which may account some for the lower muscle mass and overall weight.  My % body water was 56.4 vs. normally above 57.  Also, eating right was a bit of a challenge between events at church and work.  Every day is a new day and I’ll do better this next week.

Be safe & have a great week gentlemen!

-Mike
