Hello from the snow-bound Northeast US. Mother nature had her way with us yet again and I have officially had enough of the snow.
Up 2 pounds this week after having held steady but up slightly. The alarms are going off in my head and I really must get back into my routine. I am not doing alot of snacking or bad foods, just grabbing what is fast and convenient and not making time for the gym. I leave for Florida mid week for a little getaway... I will have to really be cautious or my backslide (and backside) will really be impacted!
Thanks to everyone for putting up with my cat dialog... he is doing well and we are happy to have him back... he got so skinny you'd have though he had WLS!
See you next Sunday!
Brian

Thank goodness for a big ol' morning, nasty stinky! Too much crap and not enough exercise this week. Need to get serious again myself. Looked and I go to my five year follow up with my surgeon in a little over a month.
Taking the granddaughters back to their Mom and Dad after lunch. Talk about your cat looking thin like it had WLS. Two year old pinched off a loaf in her Pampers so foul you'd think she had WLS! Dog went straight to the door wanting out and I had to crack the windows. No more "Mexico" food for her.
Till next time.
Never, and I mean NEVER, trust a fart!!
@Brain, it’s so easy to incrementally get off track and not even realize it until the scale causes you to reflect on the past week. May your Florida R&R give you the perspective you need.
@Don, lol, you know the Pampers do say 16-35 lbs - though kid size not “load” size!
My stats this week:
High weight: 392 lbs
Pre-op Weight 4 Aug 09: 377.5 lbs
Last week: 217.4 lbs / 19.6% body fat / 166.2 lbs muscle mass
Last week: 217.8 lbs / 19.8% body fat / 166.0 lbs muscle mass
My overall weight this week is pretty much status quo. I made it to the gym 3 days this week limited by work and doctor appointments. Budgeting 1.5 hours of time for the gym or the bike trails is a challenge at times. I just need to redouble my efforts.
Beautiful day today in Middle Georgia – sunny and 73°F. Spring has almost sprung with my Bradford pear trees in full bloom.
Be safe & have a great week gentlemen!
-Mike

I had a weight loss of .2 lbs this week. I did get as low as 223.6 but I weighed 224.8 this morning after I got out of the shower. I did have a small problem this week with gout in my right big toe. I had some medication from the last time and it seems to have halted the progression of pain. I'm going to take it for the next few weeks and make sure I get all my liquids in. I'm still struggling with the exercise. I need to get more in!
Brian ,,, enjoy Florida !
Don ,,,, grand kids rock !
Mike ,,, it was a great day here in NH today but you were definitely warmer, I can't wait for spring !
I hope you all have a great week!

Status Quo on the scale....Glad to be under 200 in the Onderland zone. As usual, my goal in maintenance is to stay under 200. Aside from that it is to try to do on a daily basis the following: 64 oz water, Mindfully Eat, and Exercise which I did for the most part this past week.
Exercise has been good. I am into my 11th week training for a race next Sunday, St. Paddy's day. Today I did a long run of 9 miles and felt really great...getting excited about my 1st 1/2 Marathon on 3/17/13. I am so very happy to have rekindled my passion for exercising as I have always been active, but alot harder to do at 350 rather than 200!
Have a great week all!!!
Yours in WLS Journey,
Bill Mac

Durn scale said 208.x on Sunday morning, WTH?
Back down to the normal 203.x this morning, so just a fluke measurement yesterday.
I did my first measurements since Dec 2012 and almost all my numbers are UP about a 1/2 inch or so. Headed in the wrong direction there for sure. The tape itself might be slightly different, I cannot find the same one I was using and there is a 1/2 inch or so of inaccuracy in how I measure irregardless.
But...the 208 and then ugly measurements, def. motivated me to get PRIMAL (Paleo) on my diet!!!
Week 4 of Crossfit and I can tell it is working!! I bumped up my lifting weights today to the next scaled level and it was a good workout! If I can keep doing that monthly I will be very pleased.
I can tell my overall fitness is improving, on my active rest day, I washed the Harley and both cars, no problem. I am bouncing back from workouts pretty quickly. It will be interesting when I run next to see if all this leg work has improved my endurance and speed for the 5k.
Loving Life!
Sam
