Hi Guys - Long time to talk!

I have a question about Weight lifting supplements _ i'm fast approaching my goal of 225 pounds and looking to start stacking on some serious muscle. When i had a normal stomach I used to use a pre workout supplement called No Explode. Has anyone tried with post surgery?

I had VSG by the way?

Only supplements I use are protein and glutamine.  Based on your goals Different types of Proteins will have different benefits. Not familiar with the supplement you named so I can't really comment.

Glutamine is a BCAA that benefits in muscle recovery.

Congrats on getting into the TRI scene and good luck on controlling your costs .  What half are you doing?

I bought my first bike in December - that was a quick $3000! I am doing the Big Kahuna in Santa Cruz CA and then my goal is to complete my first Iron Man (Full) in AZ in October of 2014.

If you want to do any of the Popular full IM events then you want to Volunteer for the year prior to you wanting to race.  Volunteers get to register onsite for the next year.  This year IM AZ filled up in like 5 minutes.  IM Lou is a good race for a Full and rarely fills up fast.  I am in for IM LOU next year,  I did my first 70.3 last year and learned I still had a lot to workout on the long course so I am taking another year to prep.

What ride did ya get?

Some people that I train with are doing Iron Man AZ this year so I am planning on going the volunteering route.  I like AZ because its late in the year.

I cant wait to do Wildflower which is a popular one here in California and knows as one of the toughest Olympic courses around. I am riding a Cannondale CAAD 10.
